the Round Earth Conspiracy has been uncovered due to its failure to provide apocalypse.
What in the flying fuck are you talking about?

ITS THE ALIENS!!! SABATOGING MY DEFENSE!... AND SPELLING
Misplacing our speeches with YELLING.
Forcing the keyboards to badly misspell.
Literacy is now only a shell.
Confusing us with commas and dots ,
T'is forum is now tangled in knots.

Some custom aliens I made...
Making aliens? It's tired! Go masterball!

If energy isn't absorbed, it doesn't cause effects.
You don't act surprised that air manages to withstand a laser that destroys armor, do you?
If the laser is in visual band and the glass is clean enough, it will split into reflected and refracted beams.
With dirty glass it depends.
And that argument completely falls on its ass when you realise that glass will still absorb enough energy to be destroyed. There are no perfect mirrors, making an armor out of mirrors wouldn't work. And same goes for windows. A military high power laser weapon will destroy objects found in everyday life.

Why not measure it with puns?

Who do they think we are? CoD/Halo players?
Well that was the primary demografic firaxis based the games desighn for.

I'm in favor of using a chain-dalton-jiffy system
The secret council of people who rule the world from poorly lit rooms dissaproves of this.

process the information on one string.
Who on earth plays chess with strings? Isn't using your hands more practical?

Why not? It has maybe 30x80 pixel squares field and all movement and calculation is by this squares, don't understand why you think there is any difference.
*facepalm*
If you honestly think that then i dare you to code it in. See how far you'll get.

I was thinking about how lasers and light work with reflection and wondered if it was possible that when firing a laser into glass that it might just be reflected off of the glass?
A weaponized laser would burn through it.

Basically the UFO Defense dialog box way:
That looks comepletely horrid.
All are good but soldier equip....Those (the soldier) still looks like a crack addict and his posture is more suited for a Zombie squadron than anything else.Real soldiers don't look like pornstars, actors or body builders. They look like everyday people. And when they are called into combat against humans they are always upset about the whole thing. And when sent against an unknown foe with superior tech to be allmost certainly slaughtered...well you would look ten times worse. This style fits with the games aesthetic wonderfully. If that is too much of a problem then you could always mod paper bags on top of faces, or not play the game. Just sayi'n.
Overall screen luminosity should remain within a relatively narrow range. That is not constant, but if let's say the screen puts out an average of 12-20% of white field during the tactical missions, it should stay in a reasonably close range (maybe 8%-30%) in menus.(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

I swear it, Chris, if you let such a thing happen to Xenonauts I'll cross the tiny channel which separate us and I'll f*cking kick your british butt.
Nah, you'll probably just stay at home and cry yourself to sleep like a bitch.

2 more pictures from the intro, not quite finished yet:
But I hope that the pictures will tell the story better than words - when I am done
Yeah poor guy. The notebook went blue screen of death on his porn.

Is he doing the "Bich Please" face in his avatar?

Once you research the power armour you should be able to build basic prototypes of said armour, which are prone to a variety of mechanical issues
You do realize that everything you build is a prototype fresly grabbed from the table , right?

There used to be a popular notion that XCOM EU is unbeatable on Impossible.
By bloody who? By people who never played a strategy before? As soon as you capture your first sectoid and see "plasma pistol recovered" you are already tiped off that you can use alien tech ,and as soon as you research the plasma pistol tech it's a game ending revalation. I had a squad decked out in light plasma rifles before i got near any high end laser tech, and there was no one that could touch me untill the berserker came about, and even by that time i had leveled up my squad considerably. I beat the game on "impossible" once i got a hold of the games mechanics. Hell considering the watered down nature of the ground combat and the "tunnel" nature of some of the maps you can easily predict every move the enemy can possibly make. The only casualties i suffered were due to bugs and bullshit. (yes i am looking at you assholes that forget to take the lid off of their rocket launchers! )
So i say GJ should go all for it! If all else fails grenade rain reighns.

Wel... Because.... Space Sim. Wing Commander. Chris Roberts.
They have already reached their goal. CR stated that the game will cost about 12 mil. to make. Crowdfunding will never fully fund this game. The whole point is showing the investors that there is a market for this kind of game. And they already achieved their 2 mil goal. Better save your money for other projects.
-
Why? It has alreadyreached the goal.

£1,250,000?
Is he mental?
try to release Xenonauts final version much earlier than the new XCOM ENEMY UNKNOWN

Generating antimatter in a smal particle collider =/= being an antimatter compound. A third of the damn rock probably gets obliterated just to release a few nanograms of AM. Which is still a lot of energy but not to the extent that your trying to argue.
To put it in perspective if the aliens really can stabilize antimatter with regular matter(or something likie that). Then the invasion would be over in about a day. Earthlings massing up their armies? Just send 3 grams of antimatter in their general direction and nuke. Airforce? Nuke. Military bases? nuke XCOM? Nuke. Nukes? Just disperse antimatter particles in the air and destabilize them when the earthly nukes come close to generate a giant fireball to nuke their nukes.
"But admirall Yuah Daug we can't"
"Shut up and do it damnit! i'm not gonna arse myself to work here. These guys are like space ants"
At THAT point you'll just convert antimatter to t's regular matter counterpart. Would be easyer just to start off with regular matter. It really wouldn't be. Antimatter obliderates itself and regural matter and releases a lot of energy. The idea of power rangers invading the earth is far more sensible than what you tried to argue.
