I think we are overdue some faberge eggs and peacocks

Does running the desura version fix the hang time when loading various things like moving the cursor to a different continent, it lags and loads the correct file. I was hoping this was an issue with it having to look through so many files to find the correct one.
-
Now you have played through EU94 why not play Terror from the deep. Or maybe use sebs ufo extender/loader mod to tweak the game play and bash it on superhuman mode (that actually works cos it is bugged under normal circumstances)
-
I'm pretty sure they will give us tools when the time is right.
-
My guess is it's an engine limitation.
Happy Gaming!
You got it : )
-
delete the desura version
-
Oh .pfp yes, you wont be able to make head nor tail of the code or extract them. Get the standalone version.
-
Do you have win rar or some kind of archiving tool?
-
well.. that was nice. 30 odd episodes at 20 to 30 mins each. And it was... enjoyable. The idle chatter kept it somehow interesting almost all the time.
but man... i wont play on superhuman myself. line of sight seems to result in death pretty often.
I know you gotta have a few practice games first and even then you might not make it. I have done EU on super but TFTD I have always die.

...anyone recognize these names?

no, but then I've just spent 57 years in hypersleep.Rise and shine, assholes and elbows.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Not good, I hope they figure something out for you guys.
-
Have you thought about removing them from your windows startup settings.
-
Oooh sweet, I'm probably gonna give desura another blast this time since it is a bit easier on the whole game files stuff. I find sudden hanging while the game loads some animation or some text very annoying, I'm hoping the condensed version will resolve this issue.

I wonder if anyone has encountered this strage effect. I was playing a base defense mission on superhuman. I had someone waiting to do reaction fire with a heavy plasma in one hand and in the other hand he happened to have a sonic pulser. A lobster man appeared and my guy shot at him at least 12 times, which needless to say is way more than his time units would allow, and each time the heavy plasma shot the round exploded! It was like he was shooting grenades. This is a bug I assume! Many of the shots went wildly off target and laid waste to the area he was shooting into, killing many of my own troopers along with the lobsterman. Has anyone else encountered this?
Very interesting, never heard of a but like that (not saying I don't believe you) http://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Known_Bugs_(TFTD)#Battlescape_Bugs
I wonder what the error is that would cause that??? I spoze it would have to load the wrong codes for the ballistics to make it explode like that and also do an incorrect time unit check. Very odd.
Has anyone else had this??
-
Yes if you can, put it in it's own thread so it jumps out at whoever is looking for that particular bug. Does this problem reoccur?

I couldn't resist having a go at some of the dizzy clasics too.
All credit clearly goes to codies : )

Maybe the soldiers have heard what a terrible commander you are and don't want to die under your reckless orders.
Soldier1: Hey man NoSoAna's hiring more soldiers
Soldier2: No way man the guy makes you shoot unarmed civilians and play hot potato with primed C4 explosives
Seriously though I will test your game tomoz cos I'm just off to bed, sounds odd though.

I think Chris should hire me as the new in charge of all music person. I clearly have potential. :
I couldn't be bothered to run it all though a mixer and sort the levels out since it's just for a play around after all. I got as far as side chaining the kick with the bass and gave up. maybe one day I will have a real go at remixing the midi files of xcom. Some kind person has even posted up the TFTD midi files on ufopaedia for me to mutate.

when i picked up my demo disc on pc gamer or something, they called it xcom with bubbles
-
i did overwrite the xml file and run the game, yes it managed to pass the freeze point but no ufo activity after that for a long long time
Glad to hear it

But he didnt save every turn he saved before and after ground battles/missions. He didn't know what was going to happen in them anymore then you when you played without saving (for however long you don't save in UFO:EU). That isn't savescumming.
He said he only reloded if he suffered "horrible wipeouts" (like losing the whole squad kind of thing). Small regular losses didn't make him reload.
Don't put words in his mouth.
+1

Do you get anything like an achievement for winning on Impossible Ironman mode? Cos I am half way though march and doing quite well, although loosing 4 country's in the first month (but that is ment to happen apparently) I never thought I would make it past the second mission
-
I regret to confirm that i had a crash within seconds of an air battle. I right clicked my jet and then boom. I reloaded it and did it again and it worked. So maybe it was just bad luck.

Why thank you dear leader mwah mwah mwah
Anything in general I should be looking for?

It's not that hard, you just need midi files for the notations, and reasonable knowledge of music production for the synths etc. Me and my mat are doing a more serious lemmings medley that is sounding quite good. It takes you on a journey across the lemmings soundscape in 6 different dance styles. LOL
