  1. I did some testing this morning with my savegame. I can reproduce the "missing zombie" but it remains somewhat unclear why sometimes a zombie spawns from a civilian after a reaper attack and sometimes not. It could be connected to how far my soldiers are away from the location. If one of my soldiers is close to the location a zombie will spawn with 100% chance. If none of my soldiers is within reach of the location where the zombie should spawn, it will almost certainly not spawn.

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if things work as intended in my current game Civilian reaper victims seem to consistently disappear during ground missions (UFO crashsite) if they are out of LOS when they get killed. I hear the sound and sometimes even see the "red blop" when a civilian gets hit by a reaper BUT when I check out the location I only find the reaper and a bloodstain on the ground where the civilian was standing - no zombie. If civilians are killed while in LOS or if one of my soldiers gets shred by a reaper (while standing next to his teammate: poor guys) things seem to work out as intended: 1. a zombie spawns 2. after the zombies gets killed a new reaper spawns I also can provide a savegame if you want to replicate this incident or if you just feel bloodthirsty and want to see my rookie team failing miserably
