Teleport lock is a good tactic. Ironman.. I don't like it.. I want to enjoy rather then making much more stress.. u need to calculate every move.. it would be very longer then normal game.. I like to play more heroic so I die and load many times..
Enemy got many aoe weapon. And we don't have any other then rockets.. Xcom style cannons and explosive shells would be nice. But even we have them I doubt to use because it make destroy everything..
Still explosive she'll mini gun would be cool. I create some cannons for predator armor but don't know when to add them to game.
Still waiting td full recovery..

@drages, how do you kill the (omega?) viper in alien base? It resists almost any weapon even after few grenades.
First time (I dont know even how ) I spammed it with gas grenade (purple) and captured the cre8ature (it was sold for about 110 000).
But now I already take down 2 other bases by destroying energy core. All caesians there are just a joke comparable to that creature. Tried several times with gargoyle grenades, and advanced ballistic weapons: no luck. Maybe I need like 20 gargoyles into it? I tried ~ 12 and it did not died . And can not capture it anymore.
u captured it.. wow.. I could not do that.. u made the hard part
the base battles are the hardest at this mod and u need lasers if u ask me. Game got different damage types. And if something resist it doesn't mean nothing happens. Just the damage goes to armor and armor will gone if u continiue firing.. still if u use wrong type of weapon to wrong enemy, it will take too long..
Vipers are dying with lasers easy. So if u got a heavy laser they won't be any problem. Just carefull about distance.. at base attacks big vipers rush to u.. I mostly stay at entrance until all the aggressive enemies come to me and dies.. if they breach my defence line I get back or stay hidden to use reaction fires. Remember the alien movies. Rushing to them never works..
As final plan, I run back to some long distance and get out from their sights.
Just don't forget. If u drop ur weapon on ground u can throw 2 grenades.. I didn't see any alien who survive 12 grenade..
I can say that wait lasers to attack bases or just attack other bases rather then ceasans... they are worst because vipers and mind control same time..

As i said, have at least 3 grenade per soldier.. when u see a big alien, drop your weapon to ground and send all grenades to him.. so 2 grenade per soldier its about 12 grenade at one turn.. 8 would kill it..
AS ppl said, its the easiest days of this mod.. Flamethrower is a bit useless at this mod but melee creatures are no more problem.. i hope it get harder soon..

Red just use explosions.. first 2 alien is easy. Bigger one just send all grenades to it..
Non combatants are very few just at first 1 month..

No need to add something to make the game more harder that way. We bleed already from shots and give this enough pain at GC.

I didn't start to edit soldier sprites yet. It's a long work.. you can choose whatever u want for now.

Hi ppl..
I was working for some weeks for this game after i tried XMT mod.. I got planty of weapon arts now as weapons both for human and alien side and some planes.. maybe more in time..
I am not good at moding yet, just working on adding my own weapon with modmerging.. I like mostly big guns and snipers but if u got anything you need for your mod or just as single thing, u can ask me.. I just find pictures and try to make to fit the game so i am not doing from scratch..
I hope it helps to ppl who wants more toys to play.. and if any modder who wants someone to look up for arts, i am very happy to make a mod together.. it would be way faster then to learn it from beginning..
The main idea is to add special weapons which powerfull, expensive, hard to craft (needs items from ufo parts and alien drops like weapons or magasines) so when u have one you would feel the power..
Same thing to aliens too.. giving them more weapon tiers to beat us.. they will learn our weaponary and use them agaisnt us.. they can be from space, but humans are worst creature at killing..

A heavy minigun, both can be used for ballistic or mag tech.. bigger bullets bigger firepower low accuricy but good surpression..
An updated sniper for armor piersing.. just shoot some burst to get rid of armor and use this for finish..
Need more FIRE power.. try this new plasma flamethrower..

can we add new weapon/item/research/aircraft vs... or its just to edit that already exists..
so i can make a mod in this and then update it modmerging (if i ca figure out how)

XMT is not working as intended at 0.30 ce.. if u updated, then give a pause to use mod for now..

Hey..
If we can add more damage types.. so we can make weapons spesific for specific aliens.. same as resistances for this new types..
If we can add more damage types for a weapon. like 20 kinetic 10 incanirate.. or giving different ammos..
If we can give another fire options.. like u got a heavy weapon and u want to consatrate on an enemy or u want to aoe a command room with more surpression..
If we had more spesific icons at geosphere for our aircrafts.. like adding awacs, or 1-2-3 planes for squads..
If we can add our own alien type.. for example "researcher ceasan" for catching it alive for new tech like Xcoms..
then this game would be unlimited at all!!!

One of my men was downed by a Sebillian, but now he's bleeding to death on the ground while unconscious. Medkits don't seem to work. I don't think this feature was in vanilla; when soldiers there died/fell unconscious, they didn't keep bleeding.
What do?
U need to use medikit on that tile... everytime he gets +5 everytime.. just spam it...

ok thanks,but to disassembling i have to pay a 10k and need datacore of the given ship(ex a corvette) and at the end of the disassebly i recover alien alloys and aelenium?if i manage to dedicate a second base only for manifacture i had to send from the main base all the datacores(assumed like corvettes wreckages)and than disassembly?

The alien bases got research rooms so if they bother only kill us with the tech they already have, why would they bother with this rooms.
The chemical weapons are forbidden today but it's not for aliens or for us against them. So why don't we or them use this.. humans are way better and experienced killing each other then aliens..
I need some answers too about capacity of the game..
Can a item give a resistance or armor to a specific dmg type to soldier? Or only wearing armor can have it?
Can à weapon have another attack type rather then we have already.. like overdrive burst or snipe burst? Can we give more thrn 1 burst type?

It's like a counter tactic. Think the tech tree as a Web rather then linear. För example we know lasers but didn't have enough power tech. So aliens can have missing part too.

I want to make a mod with different weapon types and aliens with resistances and weakness for this dmg types..
So I am so new and confused a bit.. what dmg types does this game have? Can i give a weapon 2 or 3 different dmg type? För example a rifle with 10 ballistic 20 laser dmg together? Can i create my own type?
As enemies.. can I give them specific weakness or resistances?
My idea is to make all weapons usefull rather then adding more dmg per tier.. then I want to create weapons with 2 or 3 dmg types.. hybrid ones.. so u still can kill enemies with what u have but it will be much harder if the enemy got resist..
För example at Xcom tftd u nearly can't kill a lobster man with gauss rifle.. he dies but with 10 shot.. but with heavy sonic he dies with onu one or two..
the new guns with more then 1 dmg type will be expensive and in need of different loots from aliens.. so u won't able to craft them so much.
Another idea I have to improve the aliens with our tech.. they will use our weapons and adopt them as we do..
I am not good at coding but got amateurish photoshop using and bad English heh...
so if an experienced modder want to use my ideas and weapon arts (got 9 human and 3 enemy weapon done including new flamethrower and cannons) I would be very happy and want to share what I done.

I got complanes about some new weapons..
-Laser Sniper Cannon: I didnt see any big difference between laser sniper.. My sniper does more dmg even.. Cannon is very heavy and dont have a recoil and u can shoot fast... as a cannon i expected a high TU shot with much more high dmg.. something like sentelin.. and it needs a new sound effect and shoot effect i think.. i like laser weapons always.. i want to try to help to find a bullet effect and sound if u accept with my amateur photoshop and google using ..
-Sentelin: A slow sniper needs a argon officer.. firstly.. i think its too later becouse before u got an officer u fight with them with balistics and its hard.. when u got officer u probably got laser weapons and laser sniper is better i think.. so for a ap sniper i think it should have much more ap value.. lower dmg but it should ignore all armors from all enemies.. so this gun will have a special use..
-Please put some differences among the balistic rifles.. i mean first one, hellgate one and advanched one.. they dont have much difference.. yeah maybe some dmg but the difference are very low.. maybe one should use different ammo, AP... I want to change the weapons against different enemies...
-Flamethrower is useless now.. make the melee creatures against bullets and flamable so i can have a reason to use it.. u can make a plasma version of it just making it, yellow or green flame.. again i can help with visuals..
-C4 got a very huge effect range.. i cant find time to use it and run away..
-Why dont we have melee weapons? Sword, knife, chainsaw, lightsword with proper effect!!!
-2 weaponed tanks..
- The advenched plasma rifle.. we dont have any idea about that gun... what is it over normal plasma rifles?
As i said i can help at visuals.. the mod is realy great and want to impruve it!!!

After I read the xeryx post I think it's most of the reason of my problems. So it's ok if I just copy all the mod files to game directory, isn't it..
And about heavy weapons. I think I figure that out and it's intended. I try to get near to enemy to shoot it but I was wrong. You need to use them stationary like snipers just in front if them. It's not a short range weapon. U need to use it to destroy environment or cover fire. When heavy weapon sits for a turn stationary, the accuracy get much better with high Str and acc soldier.
About sentelin sniper.. it's nice but it's hard to use it. I don't know why but after I start to use this gun, my sniper became enemies first target. Even they have soldier much more near them, they all attack my sentelin user. And he gets suppressed and no fire next turn..

Guys sry but i didn't understand from that file how to get the wolf armor... so should I have a leader and hyper drive for it.. it's very very late game considering when I got Coyote nearly at first days..

Guys .. do u know how to get wolf armor at this mod?.. i downed a large ship.. got anti matter sniper (need a andron officer btw and cost 160k.. i will try it soon)... but no wolf armor... just coyote.. so what did i miss?

So I was fighting with big viper with some savescumming when suddenly it transformed to red caesan with acid grenades, lot of hp and no weapon
Yeah it happened to me too.
TD I hope u recover soon. I got accidents too.. part of life.
And yeah I can't get advanced sniper rifle too.. but I want to have advanced laser sniper rifle at the main page

And about suppression. . Even with my own fire my soldier get suppressed 5 easily then enemies.
