Mk4 is better than anything before it, yes, but generally by not being worse, i.e. it's more or less equal apart from penetration, whereas the other steps have markedly improved everything at the same time. Here damage is a bit better, while range, accuracy, and clip capacity remain unchanged. Now, if the techs were really radically different, specs would probably be all over the place, but that's not what the current figures show.1 point
