So I was watching ClosetYeti run through the latest Xenonauts version and playing some myself and I had this question. Is it possible for your LMG or sniper guys to spend a turn setting up? As in, they might drop a bi-pod or something so that the following turn they are more accurate? Just curious because with the animation with the machine-gunner when he crouches it looks like it might be possible.

Since suppression was added, would it be possible to add Ja2 1.13 style full auto and controlled machine gun sweeps? In Jagged Alliance 2 1.13, weapons could be fired fully automatically; you could add onto the length of a burst of gunfire, with each additional bullet costing a small number of AP. You could also perform a controlled sweep of fire by dragging the mouse after clicking, which would draw a path for the soldier to fire on. This let machine gunners suppress a group of enemies with one burst. Combined with the addition of suppression, and the penalty for moving before firing a heavy weapon, a machine gunner could fill a dedicated support role, keeping enemies suppressed from a stationary position with long bursts of gunfire while the rest of the squad closes in on the target.

i was wondering if it would be possible to allow large automatic weapons like the tank and inf mg to sweep a selected area? say by seting 2 points on the screen before firing to mark the target area. could be usefull if covering fire has any use or if bullets can pen buildings. to balance it the area that can be sweeped could be limited , the squad mg gunner can only cover a 3 or 4 block area while the hunters mg could sweep 10 or so.
