  1. Right, I've run these saves myself. I'm getting one AI hang from the first save posted, and three other save files are also crashing for me. I'll pass them along to the relevant coders, thanks all.

@whitknight - posting the save games rather than the log files is much more useful for us, as it lets us reproduce the crashes in the developer versions of the game (which give much more crash information than the public version).

@TacticalDragon - Unfortunately disabling DEP doesn't fix the actual cause of the problem. It may fix some of the symptoms of the bug, but it's more important we fix the cause (if we can).

Understood - not all saves had consistency though a reload from the autosave sometimes would fix the problem...perhaps the culprit script wasn't allowed to run because it died...or the situation changed..but I'm running the previous version now...which isn't quite as fun..but definitely doable.

    Thanks for the quick response.

  2. I've installed the game on my laptop ( Core 2 Duo 2 T7300 2ghz, 2gb DDR 2 RAM, Intel 965 Express; a HP Compaq 6910p) and it ran just fine.

I played the game for about 6 hours straight, no issues. When I re-opened it and loaded my saved game, the program crashed every time I openned the equipment screen. To see if it wasn't a corrupted save file, I started another game and went straight to the equipment screen and it crashed too. I restarted the computer and tried again(with my save and a new game) for the same results.

I've even reinstalled the game and the same happens to both to my saves and to new games.

The weird is that during my 6h gameplay I reload with no issues more than a couple times.

The laptop uses Win 7 Ultimate 32bits (with latest updates). The game runs well with no loading delays.

My last save (The problem happens on all of then; I'm posting it more for formalities, the problem is not linked to save files...).

OBS: I saw a similar bug report( http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/9556-e22-2-GC-CTD-before-soldier-equipment-screen), but that post has much less information and its from another version, so I beliave that mine is also relevant.

OBS 2: The Equipament Screen loads and I can see my 1st soldier stats before the crash(it freezes as soon as it loads).

I've had this happen right after a workshop order is completed. I go to put the new equipment on my troops and it ctd's

  3. Not security. It is component installation. Here is a link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3387

You probably have it already but it is worth a shot.

Yeah I went ahead and manually redownloaded it anyway..still the same issues

  4. Hello,

I recommend you to search the post:

    V22 experimental Build 2 Release,

I give some instructions to disable DEP and deal memory overflow like you describe.

You don't actually explain how to disable DEP in those posts..but I already know how to do it. Those that don't know - here's a link for windows 7

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Change-Data-Execution-Prevention-settings?SignedIn=1

Now - I do totally agree with you that it has to do with a memory overflow problem...similar to running games with a lot of mods. Hopefully - it's only an issue with exp bd 22.3.
