Is there multiple type of eggs? Usually I could blow them up with single smoke grenade but came across one that resisted multiple smoke and frag. I just started playing the mod so couldn't tell if it was balance patch via hotfix or newer more sturdier egg.

Do you know when the hotfix will be coming out? I just had my first indefinite AI hang fighting purple things (Gargols?) and due to my unwise save organization, have to throw the whole run out (although it's only the third mission).

Contrarily, if you figure out the way to make doors closable, it'd be possible to make alien doors unclosable as well.
I tried to mod in this occasionally proposed suggestion, but couldn't find a way to do so. If you inform me how it could be controlled it'll be really appreciated.
When did this turn into discussion about how to close warehouse doors anyway?

Hey, we're capable of tweaking their monitoring system to observe entire alien base though they themselves never seem to take advantage of it!

I concur. Reaction fire slider to the side is clearly just for the TU reserve. Sounds like feature creep to me. While editing the code so that even the most minor details can be modded are perfectly fine, but to add more features on base game itself should be put under consideration.
(So if done, put it as another value such as PersistentLOS that people can enable it for themselves).

I'm not sure it was brought up before, but could you look at penalty for damaged props on the Xenonaut base defense? I am uncertain whether it is working correctly.

Haven't tried out the new update yet, but is Persistent LoS a temporary stopgap before further AI refinement or is it here to stay?

Continents can be modded by simply replacing the images, the only limitation is that the number of "continents" (not sure how they call them on mars) has to remain the same.
Could you, or anyone else, explain how you can mod the shape of landmass/regions when there is enough time? I wanted to add Oceania, Falkland Islands and Hawaii into the Geoscape but is hitting a brick wall due to my utter lack of modding nor coding experience.

Can I treat this community edition as vanilla state when applying mods, or should I expect some conflict which commonly occur when trying to run two or more unrelated mods at the same time?

Thank you very much for all the efforts during the years, and decision to further expand the modding capabilities. Though I've only followed few games during its developmental process, you guys and this community was the most delightful to follow so far

Speaking of the mods, is the Geoscape map hard-coded (as in the landmasses where you can build base or shoot UFOs down)?

Huh, messing around with sa, sa_edges_quarter, sa_edges_quarter_mz, tilesetmask1, tilesetmask2 (for Falkland Islands) doesn't seem to affect whether I can place my base there or not. Maybe I am missing something though.

Change it to 24 hr to avoid incongruity? Wouldn't matter either way for me.

You'd just need to replace Australia with Oceania, and throw Hawaii into North America I think? Of course, I don't know how assigning landscapes to "bloc" works nor adding "add to the appropriate areas some terrain types on the continent masks"...? Still trying to look where I can do so.

Is it possible to edit the Geoscape? I want to add Oceania and Hawaii but I don't know how to go about creating the landmasses.

I think they can do both. Since all aliens start out on ground floor, it would be impossible for alien to end up in upper floor without using stairs... and in one mission alien above walked down to lower floor and shot Xenonaut I was preparing in order to breach. I guess some aliens indeed open UFO doors without walking out, and that no LOS update resulted in it being perceived as a bug.
However, there is some tweaks I would like to see implemented.
* Aliens should shoot at unconscious Xenonauts.
* Aliens should always open doors before moving through them since there is no disadvantage in doing so (would avoid reaction fire and nullify "body-blocking" tactic).
* Aliens on base defense mission should not shoot at the props since penalty for facility over-damage is not implemented. It really diminishes their threat potential.

AI should really be adjusted that alien ALWAYS open the door before moving through it, since it does not cost any more than simply moving through the door as they are very liable to do. Not sure how difficult it'll be to code but think it's valuable effort.

I asked before and Chris said it was unwanted functionality which were removed. Apparently the fix didn't work or it got re-introduced.
Speaking of intended behaviours not working, aliens do not shoot at stunned Xenonauts either although I am pretty sure they were supposed to.

Alternative option would be to complete remove block chance from the broken windows. Old XCOM windows didn't provide any cover so why not.

Is there any disadvantages to having your base seriously damaged during Xenonaut base defense? I know there is supposed to be one according to theory but I've never seen it happen.
I'm asking this because alien can really gimp themselves shooting at random props, and if it does not do anything, one might as well remove this behaviour.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the turn values for terror/base map reveal? Planning to disable them but having trouble finding where it is.

People have difficulties with unmodded Geoscape? I saddled Flying Circus mod for my Insane mod run because it's easy to keep Earth happy once you know what you're doing. Looking around some Insane LP floating around youtube and twitch, I don't seem to be the only one who have significant trouble with the funding either.
