  1. Contrarily, if you figure out the way to make doors closable, it'd be possible to make alien doors unclosable as well. :P

    I tried to mod in this occasionally proposed suggestion, but couldn't find a way to do so. If you inform me how it could be controlled it'll be really appreciated.

    When did this turn into discussion about how to close warehouse doors anyway? :cool:

  2. I concur. Reaction fire slider to the side is clearly just for the TU reserve. Sounds like feature creep to me. While editing the code so that even the most minor details can be modded are perfectly fine, but to add more features on base game itself should be put under consideration.

    (So if done, put it as another value such as PersistentLOS that people can enable it for themselves).

  3. Continents can be modded by simply replacing the images, the only limitation is that the number of "continents" (not sure how they call them on mars) has to remain the same.

    Could you, or anyone else, explain how you can mod the shape of landmass/regions when there is enough time? I wanted to add Oceania, Falkland Islands and Hawaii into the Geoscape but is hitting a brick wall due to my utter lack of modding nor coding experience. :(

  4. You'd just need to replace Australia with Oceania, and throw Hawaii into North America I think? Of course, I don't know how assigning landscapes to "bloc" works nor adding "add to the appropriate areas some terrain types on the continent masks"...? Still trying to look where I can do so.

    I think they can do both. Since all aliens start out on ground floor, it would be impossible for alien to end up in upper floor without using stairs... and in one mission alien above walked down to lower floor and shot Xenonaut I was preparing in order to breach. I guess some aliens indeed open UFO doors without walking out, and that no LOS update resulted in it being perceived as a bug.

    However, there is some tweaks I would like to see implemented.

    * Aliens should shoot at unconscious Xenonauts.

    * Aliens should always open doors before moving through them since there is no disadvantage in doing so (would avoid reaction fire and nullify "body-blocking" tactic).

    * Aliens on base defense mission should not shoot at the props since penalty for facility over-damage is not implemented. It really diminishes their threat potential.

  6. Is there any disadvantages to having your base seriously damaged during Xenonaut base defense? I know there is supposed to be one according to theory but I've never seen it happen.

    I'm asking this because alien can really gimp themselves shooting at random props, and if it does not do anything, one might as well remove this behaviour.

  7. Can anyone tell me where I can find the turn values for terror/base map reveal? Planning to disable them but having trouble finding where it is.
