I just came back from a session, and I had tier 3 available for research before even tier 2 (down to the lack of a certain artefact, no doubt). Kinda lacking in the description department and I've not tried to manufacture them, but they are there in the list of weaponry to be manufactured.

Cool! The point of lasers on X-COM and the reason they were my favorite tier (Plasma is evil) was that they had no ammo.

Now I know I can use a strong and expensive plasma gun, because if lasers had ammo on the OG, I woud never use them on the ground battle (Sellig aircraft lasers for fun and profit!).

I understand why, but I want high tier weapons.

Also, we only have the Xenonaut equivalent of X-COM personal armor, as far as I know. Limited research is annoying, but this alpha is purposefully content-light, right?

This isn't some AAA Colonial Marines Hoodwink game. This isn't a game designed to barely scrape across the line, riddled with flaws. This is a game we've seen built.No, not just right to get a Xenonauts DLC. It's Just.

You owe it to your fellow gamers, your family, kittens and little orphans the world over to send a signal to other companies that you will only buy DLCs from games you've grown to trust through disclosure of content, through testing, through watching Chris wonder just where his life has gone. That's value for money. That would be a Xenonauts DLC.

Did you train to defend the Earth from invaders in the tactical simulator, just to hand over your pennies to some reptilian games company? I think not. Buy Goldhawk.
