Okay, I don't get it. I installed this mod as stated in the main thread. I have Xenonauts in Steam. Do I need anything else? What's X:CE 0.25HF? I don't have this I assume? Do I need this? Where can I get this?
The reason I ask is, because Sentelin told me, if in the loading screen there is a sentence with "Die Dreadnought" something is wrong with the installation, and I do have the sentence.
What I basically did was: Download Xenonauts in Steam, copied the whole folder (to avoid steam auto updates), installed your mod into the copied folder, executed your exe.
What am I missing here?

Yep I am using the recently posted exe (your friend posted it to fix the aircraft bugs).
And yes I see this "Die Dreadnought" sentence. Hmmm.... Guess I'll delete everything, let steam download it again and start over. Thanks for the help anyway!

Hello Sentelin!
I have installed it over vanilla (newest version); never had XNT before. New game (Easy, because I am a loser at Strategy games).
Also I will try uploading the file. I hope this works, I suck at computer stuff (it's sorcery!). Here's the link:

PS Thanks for the fast reply!
Edit: Try opening the door with the Corporal Assault, then fire a burst with the Private (who stands in front of the door). After that shoot with the assault; then the Egg will make it's facehugger attack and *boom* CTD.
EDIT2: Also I am using the new exe your colleague posted (which should fix the reported aircraft bug)

Hello!
I am on my first ufo (small scout) mission.
BUG: The alien "Egg" attacks me (facehugger?), and the game crashes to desktop. Every time.

They actually are simple pics in the files, the characters are separate from backrounds. I have replaced the scientist guy myself already, but while I was playing I kinda started liking the vanilla-characters, so I will propably not make mod for alt characters, or atleast not in near future.
But you can just edit the pictures "empty". Not sure if just deleting them will do the same trick, just backup before deleting.
Check:
Xenonauts/assets/ui_screens
OH NOES! Too bad, I guess I'll have to end up deleting them, or make a black spot over their faces with MS Paint... Thanks anyway!

Actually your mod isn't silly at all, it is a huge improvement over the vanilla dorks. Looking forward to it.
Also I'd like to make a mod request. Could you get rid of the silly guys in the background at the base (scientist, engineer, store guy etc.). These are actually some simple picture files, and could be easily changed. I am no artist, so I can't do this, so PLEASE do something against those people! The look of these fools actually makes it impossible for me to play the game, really!

Thanks for the info!

Don't know if it's a bug or a "feature", but in my game, as soon as I encountered the Caesean (sp) and the reptile type enemy in a mission (I am not very far in the game), the autopsies were finished, as soon as the mission was over. I didn't even start working on it in the research screen. Is this supposed to happen? Are all autopsies in the game done automatically? If yes, why?

Hmmm... The post about different stati (plural of status?) like blindness, confusion, bleeding etc. was kind of interesting. Why aren't there plans to implement those? I assume there is panic, so maybe different other mali like the ones mentioned above would add some suspense to tactical gameplay.

Thanks for the info Sentelin, so obviously I did everything correct. I wonder though, why in the Startup menu the sentence with "Die Dreadnought" appears, what does this mean? Anyway, the game seems to run, I truly hope my Facehugger Crash is no longer there. Time to test it out, when I am home!
