I don't think these are the same symptoms that BeornBlackclaw has posted. My symptom involves the screen being permanently blocked during every alien turn. I reckon this obvious glitch has already been explained with points to resolve it... That being said, I cannot find a clear post with the clear solution? So, if someone could just tell me or re-direct me to the fix I would be very grateful.
Apology if already answered in one of the mixed responses and my incorrect reporting procedure for this ticket item.

In my second game, my saves were corrupted without doing either - I didnt even have 2nd base...
Thanks for that..."either troops, or saved while transferring planes. If so, all your savegames are corrupted."
How do I avoid it??

All my saved games crash when loading? -where is the default directory folder for saved games??

For some reason today xenonauts keeps crashing every time I try to do ground combat in the loading screen also when I have it on the max to speed up time it freezes and I can not close it out.
Same symptoms plus all my saves won't load without crashing now!

I just got a jumpsuit equipped. How the hell do I work it? What button/switch/key do I press???

You have to toss grenades and C4 at least one tile. No grounding. Grenades don't have a timer. You must toss them and they'll blow up immediately when they land. So, unless you want to blow up your own guy, you need to toss a grenade at least four tiles away. Rockets can be swapped out by dragging the new ammo over the launcher in the soldier inventory screen. However, there is only one rocket type at the start (HE). NOTE: When swapping out anything you must space in your backpack to hold the item that is coming off, so if the pack is really full you might need to put some stuff on the ground first.

In Micro-pose's X-COM you could do these;
Prime any device for 0 seconds and place it on the ground in your Inventory Screen? Not the possible here? If so, how? Will it be added?
On the battle-scape I cannot swap different ammunition in and out for the Rocket-launcher? If so, please tell me how?
The C-4 charge cannot be primed for 0 seconds then thrown in the same turn? Please tell if it can be done or will be allowed?

I.... I'm not sure what you want to say? I detect a hint of sarcasm but I don't quite understand what it is about?
Something about the only bugfix listed in that log being the CTD on ground combat load?
I couldn't download the update for some reason. But it finally did after many attempts.
