    That the number of soldiers available for hire is limited is probably not a bug - you get a new selection of soldiers availabe for hire each month. And if you hire them all, you have to wait for next month to get new ones.

    But after reading your post, I am not entirely sure what you mean by "after all your soldiers die":

    Do you mean

    A) you hired all soldiers availabe and got killed all of them within a month (about 20-something soldiers in total). Not sure how you achieved this but in this case - just fast forward until next month (after financial report appears). You will get more soldiers for hire.

    or

    B) you had soldiers for hire before the mission and did not hire them all. You have got only your 8 current soldiers killed. After they were killed, the list of soldiers available to hire was empty (was not empty before).

    ?

    As I said, A) is probably not a bug, but if it happened like B) then it might be a bug.

    Scenario A was more likely to take place. I hired all available soldiers and they all got killed in the battles, and then I had to wait for some time until new soldiers appear in the list. If it's one month, as you said, then it's fine, now I know it.

    It would be great to understand it from the game... Any notifications and game tips could help this, e.g. if all soldiers died, then the user can see the message in the Soldiers tab saying "Please wait for the next month to hire new staff..." or something like this.
    Anyway, thanks for the explanation.

  2. Save file attached.

    1) Rifles have no shooting modes,

    2) When you point the cursor on an alien, the game starts freezing,

    3) When you click on alien (expecting the soldier to open fire) the game crashes, red error lines appear,
    "Target is null..."

    The rifle cannot shoot, no shooting modes available

    Update:
    Using any of the Linear weapons (sniper, shotgun, rifle, ...) leads to the game crash.

  3. Not sure if this is a bug or it was designed, but after all your soldiers die, no soldiers are available to hire.

    This means it is not possible to enter any ground battle. Then what's the point of continuing the game?

    The game should either end (lost) or notify the gamer regarding the situation.

    But there were no messages... It is absolutely unclear, what should the user do next?

    thanks

  4. Global map, two UFO detected, interceptors sent to both of them,
    then the 1st 'Interception Results' window poped up,
    then the 2nd 'Interception Results' window poped up,
    then 'Interception Results' window cannot be closed,
    The game is not freezing, it continues to run the global clock.

    Update:

    After playing for a while, it became clear that when there are too many UFO detected, and when interceptors are sent to all of them,
    the pop up windows would raise one after another... giving no chance to understand from what region this particular message came from.

    Here some ideas, that might help to improve this game experience:
    1. When the pop up message appears, it might be useful to mention the region in the message details.

    2. When the pop up message appears, it might be useful to change the position of the message in the screen and the map, so that the user may see both the location of the UFO on the map and the message window at the same time.

    3. When several UFO are detected at the same time, it would be more consistent gameplay, if the user would be allowed to finish the chain of actions for the first UFO, and then switch to the next one.
    It could be treated as an 'Installation Wizard', when you have to finish the process first and then switch to the next installation.

    The sequence:
    Currently: 1 UFO detected; 2 UFO detected; N UFO detected; ...; 1 UFO choose action; 2 UFO choose action; N UFO choose action; ...
    Expected: 1 UFO detected -> 1 UFO choose action; 2 UFO detected -> 2 UFO choose action; ...; N UFO detected -> N UFO choose action; ...

    Finally: when there are too many UFO on the strategy map and too many actions from different stages of different processes are messed, the Strategy Map crash to desktop.
    Hopefully the isolating of the processes into 'Wizards' would help to tackle this.
    thanks!

  5. I was playing ground combat with Sebillians.

    1) one of the aliens (with a shield) appeared and the soldier's reflexes triggered, he shot first from a shotgun;

    2) then the alien made another one-two steps and the same soldier's reflexes triggered again, the alien died;

    3) then the aliens 'hidden movement' screen appeared and never gone.

    The save file is attached.
    I had to skip the first Terror Mission because it gets stuck on 99% loading. So the bug appeared in the next mission after this one.
