I will try to do it if i find some time....only things i've checked was the situation on desert - when my soldier was killed while he was covering himself in the rockpile and game was clear saying that there is no line of sight and no line of fire in the place where alien appear and shot my soldier. I shoot alien with another guy and then place my 2 soldiers in the same situation to check this. Any of them hasn't line of sight on each other...the guy who was hiding had always 100% block in his line of fire when he was targeting that place where alien stood before but had a possibility to fire when i place second soldier in the place of alien. after fire the bullets always hit rockpile :( and the second guy had always posibility to gave shot on soldier that was hiding. Quite strange.

Regarding what I told earlier for those who wait release before new campaign, that I would propably finish this this week, I'm not sure if I can, simply becouse lack of time, and rest of week will be pretty much work filled. Haven't work on these for few days, but have been trying to do little bit last couple days. So it might take a bit longer, or not, but just to be clear.

    And just to give some update, fem customs atm, there is just three of them apparently. Again, not really 1:1, but tryed to do something atleast in similar fashion.

  3. This is currently only on the Windows Steam Experimental Branch and is very small update for V1.08HF - it would be the second stealth hotfix so at this point it is just easier to move the version number on.

    It fixes the Soldier Equip screen crash on unassigning soldiers, which itself was caused by the hotfix for the issue where bases would sometimes display no visible soldiers despite soldiers actually being stationed at the base.

    Please let me know if there are any issues with it. If not, we'll push out V1.09 across all platforms and services next week.

  4. Game_tester - how about instead of trying to suggest a kickstarter you actually create such animations yourself?

    1. I do not have the equipment(professional render stations) and experience in animation

    2. I have no rights to use that gaming brand for commercial purposes

  5. To be clear, development on Xenonauts has finished and Goldhawk will not be adding any new animations.

    The modding section of the board is for fans who would like to create their own content, not for asking developers to create new content.

    Xenonauts animations pack kickstarter project ...

    what you say ?

    new official add-on to game, with new budget ... why not ?

    you have the necessary technical capabilities for massive render of many png sprites ...

    if it will make fans without experience and equipment it will take years to build !

  6. game_tester, you can read english. That artwork you used to promote the idea of a Kickstarter is artwork that I have commissioned. Please don't pretend that you don't know - you were around when I first put it up! I will ask again - please remove the artwork. Please don't try to stall, question, prevaricate or otherwise do anything than I have asked. If you do not do it then I will have it removed.

    I know that the artwork I commissioned as fanart has been appropriated by others - I've been involved in a semi-serious action where someone was passing off the work that Henry Ponciano did as their own. I know that the work has appeared on other forums. When I first saw game_tester's little "where is my animation", I thought that was amusing. But I absolutely forbid any fanart or any other works that I have commissioned to be used for commercial purposes, or anything that could be considered commercial purposes, regardless of the intent of those purposes. Game_tester, please use someone elses art if you wish to even propose the idea of a Kickstarter.

  8. Actually some days ago this ideia come across my mind: how about animated interior UFO panels? Something like animated red symbols on a black background.

    Something like this but changing like a sequence:

    (1 symbol = 1 tile)

  9. No, I don't have video, and all my saves are Ironman-mode. You can find the sprites at assets of the game tought. Atleast the radars at alien bases move I think, and that anti-gravity thingy, or something like that in bigger ships.

  10. That said, the game seems to run fairly inefficiently when it comes to displaying animations so it's possible it might create lag issues if there were a lot of animations playing at the same time.

    The Playground SDK™ supports hardware accelerated 2d animated sprites ...

    so .. in theory any number of animations should work without problems ....

    the effect of wind .. and its noise would clearly be added liveliness to game ...
