No, the game knows only day and night missions. But this sounds like a good idea and it was simple to add to the Community Edition, so when X:CE 0.30 comes out, see assets/sounds_gc.xml (tileset names are e.g. names in assets/maps).

what you think about add to game stamina\energy for solders,
as was in old x-com ?

So ... you have limit amount of energy, every turn it replenished ... so if you move to high or have to high weight it go down fast & you must wait for make any movement... - you can shoot but can't move. (if level of energy is low ..)
how fast you will get low energy based on weight and solder strength ...
and frequency of movement ...

Would it be too much to ask to have the ability to specify alien spawn height levels in map editor? (ATM aliens always spawn at level 0 and it makes the gameplay a bit dull as aliens very rarely manages to reach upper floors)

It's already started. X:CE is working on improved mod integration and some other key improvements to the game: http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/11882-What-is-Xenonauts-Community-Edition-how-do-I-get-it
We will do a V1.10 at some point, but it's just fixing up a few more bugs in the game. We're just waiting till we have enough changes collected to justify a new version.

I think a few not so big bugs have been found. Quite a few annoyances have been fixed in the community code too. Maybe we'll get a combined patch before they send the disks out. It's really up to Chris.
