  1. I hear Nexus 2 might be up on kickstarter soon, aka the sequel to Nexus The Jupiter Incident.

Yeah, I know of this one, but am dying for it to happen. I emailed MWE (Most wanted Entertainment) about it, and they promised a Kickstarter in Late May or June....

Given that today is a the 2nd of July, I'm a tad miffed that I've not seen anything yet. I got £200 in my account waiting for this game!

  2. I didn't really like it, to be honest. It felt like they made the movie to be AWESUM rather than try tell a coherant story".

It's like they decided to make the movie, and then wrote a bunch of sceans that would be cool and string them together, instead of writing a story, deciding on making the movie, and then creating the sceans..... Ya know?

  3. I head it was one of the greatest let downs of th year. Is it getting better? Is it anywhere near as good as the first one yet?

TBH, I just bought Gemini Wars (came out today) and I'm considering going got the Crusader Kings 2 on the steam sale.....

Damn, and I wanna up my pledge for the "Two Guys, Space Venture" kickstarter.....

  4. Yeah, I can kinda empathise with the Commissar. I'm just about to launch into a significant finacial investment, and dont have a lot of expendable cashflow right now. But so many good indie games on the way.... and kickstarter.... My girlfired is starting to notice the lack of dinners I'm taking her out for.

  5. I tried the demo, and loved the destructability of the ships. I liked that everything seems to come apart, and leave debris I could see, and bumb into. i liked that I could shoot off the rocket boosters on the freiters, disabling them.

I'm not a huge fan of the art style (I prefer ships that get get built rather than grown), and the gameplay seems a bit too fast and frantic, IMHO. It didn't give you the oppertunity to really enjoy the destruction you inflict.

    I backed it.

  6. Well, another obvious effect is that a ton of people who would have purchased the game on release have instead purchased it now. This diminishes your incentive to pour any more money and time into the game, since you already have most gamer's money well before release, and you know you might not get much more afterwards.

Jesus, Dude. Calm down. Goldhawk is not EA, I bet that Chris has put a lot more of his own money into this game than most of us "hard earning workers". It'd human nature to finish a project you started, and to finsih it well, the consipiracy of abandoning development of the game is unfounded.

  7. I can see where you're coming from , but I don't mind. Obviously I'm biased.

Isn't the BF3 expansion called Close Combat? There were some new gameplay in the video as a reward, and I agree that it could have been made public. It won't hurt their thing!

Pffft... BF3 should stick with large open maps. If was wanted to play a cluster-frak map, i'd have bought COD.

Anyway, I'm saving up for the Nexus: The Jupiter Incident 2 kickstarter which is due to start in the next couple of weeks.
