  1. 3) Breach of UFO, picture 3 - positioning before breach: one word suicidal. Also see - "how to lose a mission" Try that in the game, doors open, alien shoots at either shield-bearer from point blank range for a very likely kill shot with either shotgun or rifle burst. Rest of the aliens deeper in the UFO have direct line of sight at the 2 soldiers crouching out of cover directly in front of door. That small distance will not mitigate hit chances at all. Expected casualties when 'End Turn' pressed is at least 3 - get ready to start next turn with 5 panicking soldiers, half of whom will drop their weapons and spread out.

Can't disagree more, I always have 2 shield up front as I breach, well unless I am doing the blow up door method, its never ever caused more than 1 casualty at worst, I can't remember the last time an alien opened the door before me. My preferences in the later game is to have my tank blow the door with snipers/heavys far enough back.

(agree with the rest mind, going to check out the rocket launcher sniper combo tomorrow :P)

  2. Dear all

How do I get hold of this game, since seeing it on uTube I've fallen in love with it.

I have a imac with intel Core 2 Duo, with 2GHz processing speed, is there any more info I need to know before I buy, I'm not really a computer type person so know next to nothing about the systems other than what's written in front of me.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Richard

You have a few choices, buy it online at good old games (GoG.com) which I think doesn't require software but I could be wrong. Buy it on steam which will require you to download some small software and wil make you buy more games because the sales are so good :P. You can also buy it through paypal/amazon via the website here http://www.xenonauts.com/pre-order/

Its all online with steam being DRM, if you're not in to that kind of thing.

  3. This game is so good, it's exactly what I would have expected of an X-com sequel. I haven't played X-com 3 much because I didn't like it. This however is awesome. All the messages from our research team are very well done, the ambiance is excellent, we can still destroy all obstacles, everything in this game is just awesome! Keep up the good work dudes..and ladies if you have some in the team (hoping real hard for you that you do). I will encourage you guys as soon as I get money.

I'd like to add I hate it, I have now ploughed in 50 +hours I have twice had to uninstall because I keep saying "just one more mission", stop making games, I need to send more time with the family.
