Recently discovered "Creeper World 3" : very good game (and there's a demo). I advice anybody to take a look at it
-
This is great news
Hope we will see soon the update on all platforms, I'm really waiting for it a lot !
Thanks for all the work all

@Xardoz the games I play and the genre of the games changes over time, because I play a lot.
...
If you want add me on Steam ...
Long time since last time I had enough time to pass here, I see a lot of people answered you
Thanks for the steam proposal, but I'm a "full DRM-Free" gamer, and so am mainly on GOG (with some Humble games too, of course), and absolutely not on Steam, but it's kind, thanks for the proposal
Books !
I advice you strongly to read some Jack Vance (great and in general clever Space Opera), the "Tschai" cycle composed with 4 novels is very good (first book is "City of the Chasch").
Hope Cities Skylines is good, and that you're a little less bored since last time
Have you tried "Door Kickers" ? It's really good, and there is chance you could like it.

Sad news

Woaow, you're really a big player ^^
Crimzon Clover is... a little bit "charged" visually, yes But it's more open to not perfect players than it seems (I'm not very good in shmup (even if I love to play them), and this one is hard, but not "too much", but I understand very well what you mean !).
Battle for Wesnoth is worth a least to be played for his main campaign if you like 2D TBS games : the story isn't awesome, but I still liked it, and I love the visuals and the gameplay, there is a lot of work behind. And if you like the game, you'll have hours and hours of play
May be should you take a look at Locomalito games if you don't know them already : http://www.locomalito.com/index.php
especially "Hydorah" and "Maldita Castilla". (all of them are free) It's high quality games
I guess you already played them but : have you tried "King's Bounty The Legend" ? And "Silent Storm" ? "Master of Magic" ? "Dawn of War Dark Crusade" with the DowPro mod ?
May I ask you what are some of your favorites games ? Simply for curiosity, seeing that you have played a lot

Here is some games I love :
- A very fascinating game but hard to "learn to play" : Dwarf Fortress (it's really, really hard to learn to play it).
- I would advice you AI War (http://arcengames.com/ai-war/ ) if you like strategy games (there is a big demo available to try it ).
- Factorio ( https://www.factorio.com/ ) is too a very good game (with a demo too). It's still in "alpha"' but the game is already at a very advanced stage (and is already worth to be played).
- Heroes of Might & Magic 2 (but I think you may already have played it)
- Rollercoaster tycoon (the first one ) : building rollercoasters, attractions... so great !
- Don't Starve (the only "survival" game that I like)
- Crimzon Clover (very good shmup)
- Battle for Wesnoth : a very cool free TBS game ! ( http://www.wesnoth.org/ )
Theses are according to my tastes, but I hope some will interest you
There would be a lot more but I prefer to advice you some of my favorites !
-
Okay ! (and thanks for the answer )
I hope you won't encounter new "bad surprise" and that everything will run fine (even if there is always some bug hidding somewhere like an extraterrestrial lurking in the dark before attacking you) (but now you already took care of so many of them You deserve some tranquility ^^ I hope they'll let you rest finally !)

You're right to not hurry for the updates (and for taking time before providing them to non-Steam distributors). I'm on GOG and yes, we have to wait more and it's sometime frustrating but... well, the wait won't be THAT long, and the updates will come And we will have a better game ! And for me, the wait is worth it : the game is great, and deserves all this quality updates/bugfixes !
Again, thanks a lot for your work, the polishing and for not hurry !
Aside note : we still don't have the 1.55 update on GOG, is this normal ?
-
As usual, great work ! Thanks a lot for it !
-
Everything seems cool I'm really curious to see your furthers developments/works !
Like some others, for me the X-COM 2012 system was far from perfect, even if there were a lot of good ideas inside. It was mostly frustrating at my taste. The TU system of Xenonauts has more flexibility. But you seems to want to "mix" the two : flexibility and strategy possibilites from Xenonauts, with easy to understand and fluid combat system. So as I said: I'm really curious and it looks very promising !
-
GOG just provided it ! (almost 1 hour ago) (by the way, thanks for the GOG patch )
Bug solving seems really hard. I want to thank you again for your support of the game ! Your efforts are really appreciated ! And personnaly, I infinitely prefer wait more time to have a better version.

Thank you! But... http://www.desura.com/games/xenonauts/download — only 1.51, not 1.54.
I think non-steam versions aren't out yet (and I think too Chris will tell us when it'll be the case, like for the 1.51)(and I saw that they seems to be including some more fixes, so I think it's normal if it's taking a little more time ).
I'm on GOG, and I'm waiting for it (a lot) too

Thanks for all the bugfixes !

The project looks very interesting and promising (especially when seeing what you have done with Xenonauts).
It reminds me a little "AI War" from Arcen Games (http://arcengames.com/). For people who doesn't know this game, you play a sort of 4X RTS space game, in wich an AI already conquered all the galaxy (yep, you have lost). You are the last human planet, and your goal is to defeat the AI (which thinks you're too insignificant to bother about you anymore. In fact it's true at the beginning : you really are insignificant.). It's very interesting, because in contrary to a lot of 4X and strategy game, you really must think before attacking/taking a system or destroying AI structures (or units), because the more aggressive/annoying you go against AI, the more it will retaliate/take care of you (because it raises a kind of "AI awareness level"). And if it look at you too much too soon, before you're fully ready to defeat it, you'll be likely to loose.
I suggest you to take a look at this game for some ideas, it may be interesting (if you haven't done already).
For your project, it makes me suggest some ideas (I think some may already be inside, but it's for being the most complete)(and it's just ideas, I won't take it bad if it doesn't interest the team or anybody ) :
- If you attack bases/kill units, it rises a global "alert/awareness" level depending of your actions, and if they can report what happened (if you can't prevent guards to communicate with their HQ ? If you haven't before cut transmission between places ? If you let survivors ?), which may rises a kind of "Defcon" on the planet/country, which will impacts your next missions (more guards/alert more easily triggered around the place you attacked/around strategic points, guards with better gear, locals which may try to locate your base ? etc...)
- If you let survivors, maybe you can fight against them again, but they're "more experienced" against you (and/or they have shared their experienced battles with others soldiers so some other are more ready to fight against you too)
- Would it be possible to plan some missions in the same time, or trigger something you've planned before at the same time you're doing something else ? For example, there's a big place you want to take down. It could be interesting to place bomb on communication sites around, supply depots etc... But doing this without being detected (and trying to not increase or at least the less the alert level) and only when you're attacking your main objective, declenching your explosives/traps...(which may have been discovered and/or switched off since you putted it in place and as you were somewhere else)
- Would you be able to upgrade your weapons with local gear ? Craft some stuff ? (not a fan of craft, but the ability to steal some local gear for combining with yours may be interesting)
- Will it be possible to occupate local buildings to use them at your benefits ? (better detection, disturbing ennemy communications...)
Aside questions :
- What kind of 3D do you think you will use ? (Is there some games which looks a little like what you'll want to do?)
- What kind of art-design you'll have ? (I loved the Xenonauts one)
- Will it need recent computer ?
And I must agree with the small randomizations suggestions.
Sorry for my english, and long explanations !

Thanks for the info, and the fast work

Hi all ! (yeah, first post on the forum )
It's really a great news, that I was expecting a lot ! Some months ago, I bought the game and began to play it with 1.09 (and it was great), and soon learned that there will be a 1.15 "final" version which will include some of CE Mod ideas, and fixes more bugs... So I decided to wait for it before playing the game again (to fully enjoy it for the first "big" playthrough), and now is the time ! (well, as soon as the patch will be available on GOG ^^)
Seeing the changelog (and having tested the CE mod), the wait was worth it.
The game is really awesome, and it deserves lot of success. As much as you and your team ! Seeing the high quality of the game (and how it is great to play), the updates/polishing you made, the talk with the community... You haven't rushed anything (even for the final 1.15), made a game with passion... Great work, thanks a lot for it, and thanks for your polishing/fixes/updates etc.
I'm definitively looking for your studio and his future projects (especially your big game)
