    Very Basic Issue Loading X:CE 0.26/0.27

    I'm using Windows 7. I had loaded X:CE 0.26 (and settings mod) a couple weeks ago into my existing game using the mods menu in the loader. It was working fine with no issues. Wonderful!

    I decided to try out 0.27. Now I can't get either 0.26 or 0.27 to work. I know it must be something I'm doing wrong.

    I have started with a brand new image of the 1.09 game several times. The new image comes up and plays just fine. So I load the X:CE mod. I see the new xce directory in the mods directory. I quit the loader and move the xenonauts.exe up to the top directory and replace the original. I run the loader and see that the new X:CE version (either 0.26 or 0.27, I have tried both) is listed at the top of the loader screen. Then I click play. After a short bit, before any visual game image or music shows up, it quits to the desktop with the message "Xenonauts.exe has stopped working".

    I figure this is just something I'm doing wrong but now I can't play using X:CE and I'm really bummed.

    Thanks for any suggestions you may have. BTW, I did try turning off my anti-virus but never had issues with this before.

    I have installed CE version .26 using the modding install mechanism. All is working fine. I am interested in using the Fire in the hole mod. Can I load it using the same modding install I used for CE or do I need to overwrite the assets dir? What if I later upgrade to CE .27, it it compatible? I want to know the best, most compatible way to add this mod.

    Great game so far, better than original X-COM in some ways. These mods/maps are wonderful, keep up the good work guys!

    XE0.27 Cant start new base on new game

    I'm new to the forum.

    I have version 1.09. Loaded XCE 0.27 (and xcesettings and Skitsos map pak 2000 v1.1) by overwriting all files when extracting into the /assets subdir. I start a new game but when it asks me to make the first base, before I can try, it says I don't have enough funds. My funds say 1 million.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for any help. Long time X-COM player, love the game so far!

    Also, any way to preserve my saved games; can I use them with XCE 0.27 mod?

    Right now, after loading XCE 0.27, my soldiers don't show up on the "Manage Soldiers" panel, and sometimes it crashes to the desktop when I click on the empty "Manage Soldiers" panel. Is this a saved game incompatibility?
