I have the same issue. I tried to re-install but that did not work.

I really tried playing on Classic Iron Man but I gave up when enemy squads randomly spawned between my men during a terror mission. Twice. And the first one was a Sectopod. I did manage to clear the mission. Half my squad died and the other half where in medbay. No way I could survive the next mission that was handed to me a couple of days later.

I understand that the new Geoscape will stay but I would like to voice my preference of the old one. It was dark and pretty gritty. I felt more immersed with that map. But I am sure that there were a lot of people that hated the old Geoscape.

True. I am excited to play the next version of Xenonauts. But there is always the chance that the game might not get updated on the planned date for whatever reason.

I was recording and this bug happened to me too. I'll put it on YT and link it here when I've got the time. For me it was different though as one of the aliens died in a fire.

Is it me or do the last two tiers need more incentive?
Maybe being able to change the development a little or being able to talk to Chris on a different channel? I know Chris has his vision of the game and I would not want him to deviate from it but 5000 dollars for a dinner, 10 copies of the game, signed hardback art book AND poster and t-shirt, plus name can be appear as a soldier with the soldier nationality and portrait also set by the donator, chosen from existing portraits. I know that sounds like a lot but if you know that a 1000 will get you the same, hell I'm not sure who would want to buy 10 copies.
I'd take it 500 dollars will be the highest taken by donators. No offence but the highest two tiers need that little be of extra to be envious of.

Will the aliens actively try to reach and destroy the command center or will they just be wrecking things as they go until they stumble upon it (or not)?
Would be nice to have a single alien form that just smashes everything. Then again maybe not.

Hey i saw your videos and realized you complain about your funding ingame. The alien Alloys you get as spoils at end of each mission can be sold for $10k each. Go to your main bases 'Stores' tab to sell them for building your 2nd bases=]
Yeah I believe I did that. I remember selling something. That there helped me stay afloat until the end of the month.

I don't think I've pledged on Kickstarter before. I'm guessing that if Amazon is their main payment venue that Paypal is unavailable?
Sadly I do not have access to anything other than Paypal so even if Kickstarter was available I would not be able to plegde. I do understand that KS has a lot more traffic and credibility.
IGG seems like a decent alternative and I would be more than willing to drop another 20 euros when it goes up. Hell, I'd even mention it several times during my Lets Play of Earth 2150 and a new version of Xenonauts or some other random game I decide to play.

So I decided to do another Xenonauts video for this version of the game. I was glad how stable the game is running compared to the last version. In addition I've started an LP channel for myself so I don't have to worry about the 15 minute limit. I still have to apply though. Like someone else in this channel I have been uploading videos occasionally to my normal channel.
Reading through the posts here I now understand why the Hunter was not being attacked all that much. Did not realize that but I could swear it got attacked by a Caesan once. I'll try to find it in the recording tomorrow.

EDIT: I might have to lower the ingame volume next time. You can still hear me though a bit on the soft side.

'93 to '04. Too many good games back than that I still play today.
Nowadays I start a game and never end it. Feels like a waist of money to me.
The only exceptions were DX:HR, ME2, DCS:A-10C, Civ4 and SotS I & ][ and Arma 2:CO. Most other games were tripe.
Indie games and mods have been doing quite well for me lately.

You can look at the changelog. Right click the game on the Desura launcher and choose "View changelog". It should have a description about the changes made in v8.5

Looking back at the WTF is Xenonauts that TB made he seems pretty excited to play it himself.
He probably already has it. He has quite the fanbase and he does first impression videos.
Though like Chris said it would be best to wait with an LP until the game is in better shape and most if not all features are implemented and are working as they should be.
And that bill is pretty stupid but it wouldn't suprise me if it somehow got passed. Though I don't live in the US so I don't know how it'll effect me if at all.
I do have a quick question. What is a bi-partisan bill? I'm not a native English speaker.

To bad about that little Chinook bug. If it wasn't because I'm sick and that bug I would do another attempt at an introduction video into this game.

One thing I've just noticed is when I uninstalled my game and looked the changelog it said v8.2 but when I installed the game the changelog said v8.1. Still find it odd that some people can download the new version and others can't.

Also, those people on the 2K forum kind of made me disappointed in humanity. First couple of arguments.
- Its a clone
- Primitive graphics
- XCOM: EU 2013 > Xenonauts
I stil think Xenonauts is better! Humpf!
Maybe those guys are the vocal minority?
EDIT: Just read the post about the guy who was complaining about the FF. Somebodies reply was: "Well the obvious solution then is to run the scout past the enemy and then fire at the scout. Gotta outsmart the game - never let it know what you're actually aiming at."
