  1. Well,

many of the earlier mentioned games come into my Top10 list. But the game I spent most time playing is actually a mod.

Its a Source Engine modification and since tf2 is free you can play it for free. You only need the source sdk.

Well long story short its called Empires. Its a unique Firstperson-shooter/Realtime-Strategy game.

There are two teams. Each votes a commander. He observes the game in a rts view, places buildings gives attack orders and researches technology. The rest of the team can choose between different classes fullfilling different roles on the battlefield. I.e. building structures placed by the commander or conquering ground. Later in the game the teams can build tanks and customize them according to the technology the commander researched.

The game itself is now exclusive on steam i think. Maybe some of you guys wanna check it out. As mentioned earlier its completely free, you just need the source sdk...

  2. Chris has said he'd want to redo syndicate properly... he definitely doesn't want to do Xenonauts 2 right away =p

You just made my day you know? :P

God I hate what fucking EA is doing to syndicate. They just wanna jump on the Deus Ex plane and I bet 1.000.000 € that they will do it totally wrong.

  3. Hello everybody,

I got a glimpse of this game a couple of weeks ago. I loved X-Com, Jagged Alliance, Commandos and shit, so I took a deeper look. Lurked around the forum, checked out TotalBiskuits preview with you guys. And after lurking for a few weeks more I felt a lot of joy. I mean basicly I am waiting for like 10 years now to finally get something like X-Com. I played X-Com 1-3 and Jagged Alliance a lot of times. And I got some joy out of the mods for JA2 (Wildfire and the 1.13 thing). I hated most of those other "X-Com-like" games because they missed the atmosphere and were flawed in story and design (also turnbased is the only way to do it right). So know I have ordered the Alpha and took a short look and I feel like home (or more or less 12 again). So this is my way to say thank you. Hopefully I will spent as much time on this as I did on the above mentioned titles. But even if you just make this half as good, its still way better then everything that got out in the last years. Keep up the work and please don't rush it. Just make it right :P

Oh before I forget: Is there anyway chance that you will do a game like Dungeon Keeper or Syndicate after this? That would be totally awesome :P
