[17.9 Desura version Ground texture problem]

I've got the same problem. Revalidating the files through Desura fixed the problem for the first two crash sites, then it resurfaced again. If it helps, The crash sites that ran normally were Desert and Arctic tilesets, while the next one with the bugged textured was farm tileset.

I'd say you probably just need to wait a little Sandman. I'm still at 17.6 too. I'm guessing its on Desura's end. Unless others have the client version of 17.9, then there's a problem.

What if the movie starts off showcasing a well rounded mid early game squad, clearing out a UFO. Then the squad is deployed on a terror mission, and gets wiped out leaving a handful of Rookies to take their place, With maybe a single veteran from the first squad to lead them.

If it was established that xenonauts have nicknames, then ironically, the veteran's callsign could be New Guy, as he was once the greenest member of the squad, but now he's the senior officer. Mostly the film would be about trying to capture that feeling of losing your A-List squad and starting over with whoever happens to be standing around back at base.

First time posting. Not sure if this is the right place for this, but since you're sort of already on the topic; I've got the 17.6 hotfix from desura, and every time I complete ground combat the game freezes then crashes to desktop just before the after action report should come up. My internet connection isn't the greatest, so his could just be a problem on my end, but if there's any solution, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
