I have also been getting this error. I bought the game off of Desura, and downloaded the OSX version. I have tried to launch it multiple times, but was given the same message. It was accompanied by a blank white window, and accompanied by sounds which seemed to be a part of the game (however I cannot be sure because I have not actually played it yet. I am playing this on OSX Mavericks, so I do not think that is it Yosemite. If I can help by providing information or anything, I would be glad to. Thank you for your assistance. EDIT: I have tried the compatibility version, and so far it seems to be working. I will provide further updates as information develops.
