crash7800
I don't know if this is already a part of the game, but I would like to suggest that higher rank soldiers should have an "aura" that boosts the bravery score and decreases morale loss within a certain range. This effect would not start until a certain rank The range and power of this effect would increase as rank increases Optional: if a high ranking soldier is killed, the soldiers in their usual range suffer an increased loss of morale due to a leadership vacuum EDIT: just read the Frequent Requests post and realized this is already a feature. Yay! Sorry about the redundancy Edited November 6, 2011 by crash7800
iamkyon
I'm not sure if the system is in place yet, but it'll work along the lines you just described, with the caveat that rookies will project a slightly demoralizing aura.

Oh, those rookies. Always bringing you down with their bullet spongy ways!
Jean-Luc
Yes, the morale aura for higher ranks has been confirmed for a long time now.

Sathra
There's also a morale boost for being near other soldiers (besides rookies). Officers give a larger boost. I think its already in the build too.
Chris
I love it when people come and suggest a great feature and then we get to say "Yeah, waaaay ahead of you."
