GoatFetishBob
Hi everyone, I've been very excited about this game since I read about it over a year ago but put off buying it yet because I wanted to play the finished game and couldn't trust myself with having access to the alpha and latterly the beta. My question is should I give in to the temptation and play the beta now or should I wait patiently for the finished game in all its splendor? henri5
If you like the original, and don't mind a few bugs, go ahead and buy it. I played the 2012 version only a few hours, but I have already put 30+ hours in this version.
thothkins
Well, by playing it now, you're going to spoil a lot of the features/storyline before the final release. On the other hand, by buying it now you get to support the developers. You get the opportunity to play it through all of the remaining development builds and help shape the finished product. You can play pretty much all the way through, so there's lots of enjoyment to be had simply in the game play of the Beta builds. It helps you become a better player of the game too. I had the same tough question, but utterly caved in and bought it. I can say it was well worth it. Give yourself a big pat on the back for having shown your patience in holding out so long, then buy it
Commissar Pancakes
It's also $5 cheaper than the planned retail release price.
thothkins
Ignore my post. Pancakes' post makes a much better case.
Gauddlike
You could buy it now then not play it until later beta or release. Then you get the discount and get to play the fully balanced and bug free version.
raziel1981
or... you could wait for a gog/steam flash sale and get it for even cheaper
thothkins
I'd just like to say that seeing this thread title every time there's a new post is unsettling. I keep thinking "Well, stop it."

Jean-Luc
I don't know but it looks like we have another body. Judging by the syrup coagulation death occurred less than 8 hours ago. The cut is uneven, messy yet too localized and small in scope for it to be a crime of passion. The dismembered piece is neatly laid out as if on display. I think the killer may be sending us a message. Edited August 5, 2013 by Jean-Luc

StellarRat
I don't want some guy named GoatFetishBob watching me. It's creepy and disturbing.
thothkins
Relax StellarRat. You're quite safe. None of the rest of us who stalk you in your every waking (and sleeping) moment noticed anyone new.
StellarRat
I suppose as long as it's not RodentFetishBob I should be safe.
thothkins
nah, he was chased off by GerbilFancierSteve.
Commissar Pancakes
nah, he was chased off by GerbilFancierSteve. I thought GerbilFancierSteve was hit by that truck two weeks ago?
thothkins
oh, he was, but that was after chasing off RodentFetishBob. Personally, I thought HamsterHarrierHarry could have shown a bit more emotion about the accident./ Makes you wonder...
Commissar Pancakes
Oh...I already executed HamsterHarrierHarry for incompetence...he never attempted to fix the damned television after he squirted mustard all over the screen. I had to order SquirrelKnockerJane to do that.
thothkins
Well, he told you it was mustard. But GuineapigGroomingGary told me that there were a few rumours going around about that, and what was on the TV when it happened. Let's just say that the disease would have taken him in the end. An execution was probably a mercy killing.
Commissar Pancakes
I had him flayed alive on a skillet...
thothkins
A quick, painless death is always best. At least that's what my friend Vicky Volestrangler always tells me. Well done Commissar.
GoatFetishBob
Thanks for all the replies. Loving the namesakes! I will be buying sooner rather than later I think, not because of the financial sense as I think it will be well worth top dollar, but because I'm too excited for this game not to get it!
