roof1978 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 2 bugs found after 2 hours playing: * quick grenade slot: not showing grenades (2 on belt) but when you throw them they keep on spinning and don't explode. * Suppressed aliens still being able to shoot ,making them cheaters Quote
lemm Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 2 bugs found after 2 hours playing:* Suppressed aliens still being able to shoot ,making them cheaters I think that they still have enough TUs to shoot if they can see you when you end your turn. Quote
Ol' Stinky Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I think that they still have enough TUs to shoot if they can see you when you end your turn. Not with burst fire, though. Sebillian non-combatants have 70 TUs, which means that they have 35 TUs at the start of their turn if they've been suppressed. An alien plasma pistol's burst mode costs 40 TUs. They don't just cheat when they're suppressed, I've seen them rattle off two bursts in one go before. Jerks. Quote
zolobolo Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) Two things I have found with this build: 1.: CTD when trying to intercept UFO with Condors showing -1 Fuel (they got back from mission so they are in need of refuel, but the fuel level does not rise after some hours and CTD if trying to intercept a UFO with them) 2.: When selecting medikit, I can cursor over the enemy and it will show its health (if it is not intentional then consider it as bug in favor of the player ) The game is coming along nicely though, keep up the very good work! Update: 3.: Noticed during terror mission that weapons get full ammo when put into backpack (at lest for precision laser and scatter laser) 4.:Soldiers cannot walk through broken window (noticed during the city terror mission where there is a large store in the top of the map) Edited August 3, 2013 by zolobolo Quote
StellarRat Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Aliens seem to have way to much TU when suppressed. I have aliens firing full bursts at me when they are suppressed. Quote
thothkins Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Although it's a reason I don;t use the stun baton, I quite like the aliens being quite dangerous, even when suppressed. It forces me to still think about cover and making any attacks decisive ones. Just my thoughts on the other side of this one. Quote

Just my thoughts on the other side of this one.Even using the best tactics I've got I'm losing a lot of soldiers to suppressed aliens using full bursts from their plasma rifles. I've even had them fire a single and a burst when suppressed. It's not right. Quote
thothkins Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I've been watching for the burst and single burst form my aliens (admittedly just in the first month of 19.6) but hadn't spotted any. Shame if it's definitely broken. I was just thinking about some of my suppressed soldiers. There's time to get a single shot away. I think it should be at least the same for the aliens. I keep behind as much cover as possible, and use fire teams to take them down. Generally ensuring that they won't be standing when their turn comes. If they are, I should be fairly well hidden. I've had a few wounded, but nothing terrible as a result....yet. Oh yes, and grenading them seems to work wonders too Quote

I was getting hammered by Sebillians on the desert map where you land in that area surrounded by a concrete with only one driveway leading into the base and alien ship in NW corner surrounded by another concrete wall. I should send you my save, I think I still have it. Maybe when I get home tonight I'll put it in dropbox. You and I are seeing very different results. They even fired through a wall to get my guys. Quote
thothkins Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I can definitely say I've not been shot through a wall yet*. A few little cracks here and there, but no damage done. *Heck of a shock the first time it happened. A plasma caster turned my poor guy into paste. Quote

No, they fired at a wall that my guys were standing behind with a couple bursts and destroyed the wall then they killed one of my guys by firing through the opening they created. Probably didn't word that too well. The point is they could see my guys through a wall which is wrong obviously. Quote
thothkins Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I may get a little of that. But perhaps they just do what I do, and create short cuts to better attack their enemies. I'd have been very pleased if I had done that to the aliens. Quote
Ishantil Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 My favorite is when one of the aliens shoots through one of his buddies to get to me. Who happens to be behind a wall. Of their UFO. Quote

I'd have been very pleased if I had done that to the aliens. That's great, but the aliens knew exactly where my guys were on the other side of the wall, however, there was no way they could have had LOS to them. They shot the wall out exactly where my guys were standing. Coincidence, I think not. Quote
zolobolo Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Confirm on that bug: Aliens see my guys through alien base walls, and try to blast them from the controll room in each and every turn - though they cannot melt the walls of their own base -so basically just supplying tention during alien turn as the alien base walls get blasted - if a soldier is standing to colse to the walls he gets some of the blast from area based weapon (I think he got supression) Quote
