Subject: Game feedback and feature suggestions from a long-time fan

Hello Goldhawk Interactive development team,

I bought your game a while ago, and I absolutely love it. I used to play the classic X-Com back on the PS1, and your game brings back that exact same feeling of excitement.

I would love to share a few ideas for future updates that could make the game even better:

  • Armor Customization: It would be amazing to have visual customization for armor, such as different color palettes and various cosmetic options.

  • Deeper Soldier Training: Adding a mechanic where soldiers can be sent to training facilities to improve specific stats or skills.

  • Headquarters Officer: Introducing a staff officer role. This character would stay at the base, coordinating operations and providing passive bonuses to squad members on the battlefield.

  • Chief Engineer Role: A specialized staff position. For example, a Chief Engineer could provide a +30% bonus to weapon manufacturing speed but increase the production cost by 20%.

  • Chief Scientist Role: Another specialized role. For instance, they might have a -10% penalty to autopsy speed but offer a 30% chance to extract additional, bonus data from research projects.

    Hello again Goldhawk Interactive team,

    My mind kept racing with possibilities for Xenonauts 2, so I wanted to share a second batch of concepts that I think would fit the game's atmosphere and strategic depth perfectly:

  • Medical Center & Cybernetics: A specialized facility where heavily wounded or veteran soldiers can receive cybernetic implants and bio-prosthetics to enhance their capabilities.

  • Chief Medical Officer Role: A staff position providing bonuses like a +10% faster healing rate for wounded soldiers in the medical bay or a 20% chance to stabilize and prevent a soldier's death on a mission.

  • Thank you again for your time, hard work, and for creating such an amazing tactical experience!

  • Spy Organizations & Sabotage: To add an extra layer of strategic challenge, rogue spy organizations could be introduced. They could secretly infiltrate the base to commit sabotage, steal valuable resources, or even embed double agents within your soldier ranks.

  • Base Facility Upgrades: The ability to upgrade existing structures—such as building reinforced reactors for increased power production, or boosting defensive turrets at the cost of high energy consumption.

  • Manned Turrets: A mechanic allowing players to assign officers directly to defensive turrets to increase their accuracy and effectiveness during base defense missions.

  • Psionic Training Lab: A facility to test soldiers for latent psionic potential, allowing you to train them to resist alien mind control or develop mental attacks of their own.

  • Crash Site Survival Missions: If a dropship gets shot down by UFOs, instead of instantly losing the squad, players could play a high-stakes survival mission. The remaining crew would have to defend the crash site against waves of aliens until a rescue team arrives.

  • Dynamic Black Market: An underground market where players can sell alien tech to private corporations or shady factions for quick cash, but at the risk of lowering their reputation and funding from the major nations.

  • Unstable Scavenged Weaponry: The ability for soldiers to pick up and fire alien weapons directly on the battlefield before they are officially researched. However, to keep it balanced, using unresearched tech could come with severe penalties, such as a high chance of weapon jamming, overheating, or lower accuracy.

I like the idea of Armour Customisation, as I have been pushing this idea for many years, The idea that every add-on is put in a back pack is a little lame to me, and looks a little lazy, because if it were actually fitted to the soldiers uniform, and that was shown on screen, it would add more realism, and be more immersive, that would create a better connection with your soldiers in the game, but don't hold your breath, as I don't think this will happen in this version of the game...???

Yeah, this is something new. There can be a mission where the base assault has a main goal of extracting him. He runs towards aliens and then they withdraw.

Or there can be many other scenarios.
