[7.22.3 Ground Combat] Final mission phase 1 gateway fell down one floor

I don't know how alien tech works, but after throwing a fusion demo charge at a gateway, the floor got annihilated, but the gateway only took 24 damage, and then FELL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM FLOOR. It was quite hilarious seeing the damned thing fall into the darkness almost out of my reach. Luckily another 'naut could get it with a regular grenade. Reminded me of a Stargate episode where they drop 'nades down a shaft to destroy a reactor.

I thought a fusion charge would do the trick, but apparently gateways are considered units instead of terrain?

Well, I finished the game. Amazing work. Loved it even more than the first. I might replay on Commander without the extended option, but this should be the last nitpick bug report from me for now.

I'm curious what would happen if I didn't destroy the gateway and instead let the reinforcements spawn on the floorless tiles.

Ah yeah, I think the gateways are spawned as units, which is why the demo charge deals less damage. I'll need to double check with the team though just to make sure this is not intended.
