I suggest it also notify the player of the following events: Protection status updates (red and green dots moving around) Doomsday/panic increase from geoscape events appended to the news headline. Doomsday/panic decrease from shooting down a UFO, along with a news headline. Doomsday/panic increase/decrease from failing/completing a tactical mission, along with a news headline. OP increases from completing missions/completing research. Alternatively, some of this info could be displayed in the mission debrief for after tactical missions and air combat.
