fusion-waffle Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) Description Angel: Engine Upgrade reduces speed of X-25 Angel from 2160 km/h to 1650 km/h What Happened Angel stats, before spending $350k, 50 alenium & 25 alloys on Angel Engine Upgrade: Angel stats, after the upgrade: I tested on the geoscape to confirm speed downgrade: before upgrade, Angel flying from Miami toward Tehran makes it into Iraqi airspace before hitting operational fuel limit. After upgrade, same Angel flying from Miami toward Tehran only makes it to Tripoli in Libyan airspace. Further Information Credit to @VDmitry who noticed and posted about this issue on the steam discussion boards: Quote Before I did the [angel engine upgrade] project X-25 had speed of 2160 km/h and range of 10k km. Now, after engine improvement, the speed is lowered to 1650 km/h and range to 7.8k km (that's on Hangar, because the Pedia still shows initial values). Speculation: maybe this issue is an unintended consequence of this v7.0.0 strategy layer change: Quote Geoscape speeds of all UFOs and aircraft have been doubled. For clarity, this doesn't affect game balance - it just means units move twice as fast across the map on any given Geoscape time setting. If the upgrade was implemented as a speed stat override, not a speed multiplier, and then the base speed stats of all aircraft were doubled, we might get this issue!
