fusion-waffle Posted February 18 Posted February 18 (edited) Description regression - loadout - certain weapons & equipment can no longer be dragged onto primary/secondary slots to equip them What Happened I tried to swap some weapons around via the loadout screen. I could drag equipped primary/secondary weapons off soldiers to unequip them, but unexpectedly could no longer drag some weapons and equipment back to re-equip them. Further information Please see attached bug report zip bug_report_2026-02-18-14h36_st_7.1.0_user_f11_0.zip This issue was observed in both: a save game from a campaign started with the v7.0.0 build (7.1.0 is a big improvement over 7.0.0 that this save could be even loaded & the mission won without crashing) a brand new campaign started with v7.1.0 Impacted weapons/equipment that unexpectedly can no longer be equipped in the loadout screen drag and drop: ballistic pistol ballistic rifle ballistic shotgun shield grenade launcher medkits knife, stun baton Untested laser/gauss/fusion tier inventory management during a ground combat mission Weapons that can still be dragged to equip, as expected: ballistic machine gun cleaner magnetic rifle Also, applying a pre-defined loadout to a soldier still works as expected and equips the weapons. fusion-waffle Posted February 18 Author Posted February 18 yup, this also impacts inventory during ground combat missions: in 7.1.0, cannot drag a stun baton out of inventory into secondary slot of shotgun wielding assault with full TU. Quote

This works around the issue of drag and drop not working when preparing soldier loadouts in the geoscape armoury screen. Unfortunately, right clicking a weapon to move it to primary/secondary slot doesn't work when the inventory screen is open during a tactical mission -- it isn't possible for a soldier to wield most weapons stored in backpack / on the ground.
