d10sfan
Is the Linux version of the game still using Wine? Also, will the Linux version be updated frequently? Noticed on Desura that it's pretty far behind the Windows version Edited May 31, 2013 by d10sfan
flashman
Chris announced earlier, that Linux will be ported with each stable release. v18 stable is being ported as we speak. Version 19 will then be the next one which will include fixed final mission, new UI and auto resolve for air combat.
Chris
Yes, it does still use a Wine wrapper.
d10sfan
Yes, it does still use a Wine wrapper. Ok, could that be reflected on the Steam store page, because some people may want to know that before buying Edited June 1, 2013 by d10sfan
Chris
True. I will put that up there when the Mac / Linux versions go up.
GizmoGomez
Wait, so you're saying that the Mac and the Linux versions are the exact same thing as the Windows, just with a fancy new wine wrapper put on there? Ha, I thought it was being ported differently for some reason.
Chris
The Mac version is properly native. The Linux version, not so much.
GizmoGomez
Oh, okay. Whew. I was going to say, that's kinda cheap; I can just do that myself. I'm glad that it's done properly.
