flashman
As the title suggests i am having sooo much fun with stairs. I even made a submap just of staircases to find out what is wrong. After testing i now how some staircase rules to ensure that you can get up them. 1. Avoid building against the edge of submap. Notably the ne and nw sides. 2. Build in an open area in middle of submap. 3. Create an open landing around the top of staircase at least 1 tile deep because of teleport issues when climbing. flashman
amendment. The only stairs that seem to work as intended are North East facing ones. SE stairs dont seem to work at all for me.
Gauddlike
Is that a setting in the spectres? Just check that the facing is set correctly and the stairs option is checked. I had a set in an earlier build that were set incorrectly so they would not allow you to climb. I don't remember them acting as a teleporter though, that function might be new, or I just didn't pay enough attention to how they accomplished the movement
flashman
The stairs are all set to stairs in the spectres, however when you climb them you are set to arrive at the NE square no matter the direction of the stair case
Gauddlike
I notice that the co-ordinates at the bottom of the spectre editing part of the submap editor set the destination point of the stairs. Have you adjusted those values? The Soviet town stairs in the flats folder seem to have common values. I would assume changing those destination points should set where the soldier appears when he uses the stairs.
flashman
I will give it a play. All the tiles not yet used are all messed up and it takes time getting them all right. The variation on submaps is less atm because you have to fix the tiles or ignore them
