The game froze for a good minute trying to transition to the debreifing screen after I hit end turn, having killed the final alien. I left it running while I went to get a coffee and ended up chatting to someone for half an hour. When I got back to the computer, it had loaded okay, so I guess what I'm saying is: it's not crashed, something's just making it take a donkey's age to process.
