[V5.12.0 Experimental - Geoscape/General] Vanguard Armour not available for research and production

All the prerequisites have been met but the tech research just isn't there. Colossus and Stalker work fine but Vanguard just kind of doesn't exist in the game it seems.

Thanks. Looks like you've not managed to shoot down a Harvester yet? You need the Ultradense Alloys from that or the Battleship for the Vanguard.

I'm not sure. Shot down basically every UFO that appeared but might not have recovered one in a ground combat mission. Currently on a Battleship mission though so I guess will know soon enough.

Yep, capturing a Battleship unlocked the needed research. Indeed I must have somehow avoided fighting all Harvester ground missions nearly a year into the campaign.
