ctd CTD- Crash to Desktop when saving

Crashing to Desktop when manually typing an existing save name ie, "Intercept 1" this has happened three times now. in both geoscape and tactical combat when i manually typed out a save name and pressed 'return' the game saved and CTD, save file seemed uncurrupted and loaded fine when restarted game. the 'confirm overwrite' box did not appear on any of these occasions. It doesn't happen all the time. i have been save scumming the same 'start and end turn' files in sequence mission after mission but randomly one will cause the crash. This only happens if i press 'Return' it does not happen if i click on 'save' the conformation popup appears and saves fine.

Playing on current steam release, 08/02/25 (d.m.Y) Milestone 4 4.27.0

Thanks for the bug report! I believe we've made a fix for this save on milestone 5 which is currently on the experimental branch. I'll link a guide on how to switch to said branch. Unfortunately, saves from milestone 4 are not compatible with milestone 5, so you'll need to start a new campaign, and milestone 5 is still a bit buggy as there are a bunch of new things added to the game and we haven't ironed out all of the major bugs yet.
