Ruggerman
It would seam to me that some of the equipment that is carried by the soldiers, is far to heavy, to be considered practicable, like a gas mask weighing 6kg, well I have a mask that I use when doing 3D printing and I would not be using it if it weighed that much, and the same for a lot of other equipment. Take the combat knife, if it weighed 1kg it would be useless in a fight, you would get exhausted trying to wielding it, So it would be nice, if the weights of a lot of these pieces of tactical equipment, were a bit more realistic. Herr Kodax
I doubt weight is in kg in-game, think of it like game units, not kilos or pounds.
basildazz
Last time I was miniaturized to a 1 inch sprite to repel an alien invasion, I also suffered greatly.
KOKON
I think that knives to fight aliens should be big. Like halberd or smth...
Ruggerman
Well it is not explained, in the game of what the weight measurements are, but when you add these equipment to soldiers in the game, they get weighed down pretty quickly. A weight conversion table would be handy, so as to get a sense of what they are carrying, and the load, at the moment you just have to move stuff on and off the trooper. One number which covers weight AND volume. Therfore gas mask which is about a kilo (military filter included) costs 6 points becaouse it takes volume and need a special bag. On top of that, there could be a gameplay reasons. MedPack is seriously overweight. It is on purpose to create a "Medic class". If you set medpack weight based on"realistic", every soldier would carry it so he became his own medic. Which is not very realistic. Some items are changed, knife just received a long needed improvement ! Edited February 7 by gG-Unknown
Ruggerman
If it is not a measure of weight, and only some point system, that would be OK, but that is not explained, because they are referred to a weight, and not a point carrying capacity, it would be even more pleasing if the equipment could be place on the uniform of the soldier, and not just dumped in a back pack, I some of the earlier version of the type of game, you could place the equipment on the model of the soldier, on and about their uniform, so why not in this game. The knife and hand gun, should be able to be place on a utility belt, and pockets for ammo and other small pieces of equipment.
