Hello,

I'm a newbie and have some questions.

1. How does air combat work and what can I do to make it more in my favor. Always had a bias view when splitting the money I get from infantry to base then air assets, so it’s something I think is the weakest. (If there a video pls)

2. Do equipment not get destroyed when my soldiers die? Cause I got my armor and gun back (lasers) and was like didn’t both my guys die.

Thanks in advance!

Air combat is real-time with pause, and it’s all about positioning, timing, and loadout synergy. You control up to three aircraft per engagement, and the goal is to intercept and shoot down UFOs before they reach populated areas or your bases.

Air combat can definitely be a bit tricky at first. The key is to manually control interceptions and use afterburners, roll maneuvers, and missile timing to your advantage. Try to field a mix of aircraft (e.g., one tanky with cannons, one fast with long-range missiles) for versatility. Also, focus on researching better aircraft and weapons early on to keep up with UFOs. A great beginner-friendly video that explains the basics is [insert a real or placeholder YouTube link, e.g., "Search 'Xenonauts 2 Air Combat Guide' on YouTube – the one by 'Strategy Gamer' is solid."]
