gG-Unknown Posted July 21, 2024 Share Posted July 21, 2024 (edited) The logic for burst fire should be improved. Current lock which allow burst only with "designed" lenght is unfortunate. Proposal for new burst logic : 1. ammo clip has more than one bullet (e.i. at least two) then burst mod is allowed 2a. burst TU cost is still the same, number of bullets regardless, it is up to the player consider if it is worth it or not 3b. burst TU cost is re-counted. Re-count is done when number of bullets left in the clip is lower than burst design size, but higher than one. It is quite tricky to make fair play rule by simple math-formula for this. Lets say: ( Original_TU_cost / Number_of_bullets_per_full_burst ) + ( Number_of_bullets left_in_the_clip * (Original_TU_cost / Number_of_bullets_per_full_burst) ) Edited July 21, 2024 by gG-Unknown Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Spends ALL TU and the number of bullets depend on how many TU you had compared to the averge number of bullets fired. I'd also kill for a gattling gun that fires a burst of 50 bullets (but requires you take a huge and heavy ammo backpack to use it). Just look at this: Hand held gattling gun is nonsence. Did you notice that cable connected into a weapon butt-stock ? These weapons need a lot of electricity, otherwise it doesnt shoot. Well, maby it is a good idea for Colosus, allow to mount a MARS canon-machinegun in his hand. Assuming, Colosus has an Alenium power source integrated. Modern miniguns have a rate of fire setting, since 6000RPM is overkill, but even 3000RPM eats trough ammo like crazy. Caseless bullets would reduce weight a BIT, but a minigun basically requires everyone in the squad to carry extra ammo for it, otherwise it's only good for 2-3 bursts.
