cforx Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 (edited) I downloaded the game yesterday and was having an issue were games are not saving. I've tried a few troubleshooting attempts with the suggestions here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/538030/discussions/3/3805029361155788521/ While I initially thought it could be to do with the game's permissions to access controlled folders, it seems as though any changes to game settings are updated and saved correctly. The save folder only has the steam_autocloud file, which is 'modified' when I run the game, but not when I try to save. I tried running the beta today and, when using an f5 save, had the attached crash. I'm not the most tech savvy, but let me know if you need anything else. bug_report_2024-07-16-16h54_st_4.17.0_unhandled_exception.zip Edited July 17, 2024 by cforx typo Quote

cforx Posted July 18, 2024 Author Posted July 18, 2024 Thanks Ziran. Nothing in a OneDrive folder (which I think I have de-activated anyway). I was relatively sure that the saves weren't being created because the game can't find them immediately after saving, with an empty load screen. When I switched to the Beta and the game crashed (which happened again when I tried), I'm more confident that this is the issue. It could well be an issue with my set-up, but not really sure what to change or where to look. Quote

Looking into the bug report file, it looks like the game was trying to save to a networked folder location. You can try changing the save game directory by adding this to your game's launch options (this is on Steam) -gameSaveFolder=<X> simply replace <X> with your save game directory location Quote
