Ogilvy the Astronomer
On the soldier equip screen I tried to assign a custom Soldier Role but it crashed to desktop after clicking OK on the name. I've tried three times and it has done the same thing every time. Please let me know if any more information would be helpful.
Khall
I've had the same problem, the preset ones work fine, it's just the custom roles that crash when you click ok after entering the name
Akavit
I encountered the same issue. When I clicked the OK button I crashed to the desktop.
kuroi_neko
I also had a crash when applying a default loadout to a soldier: 1) define default loadout for "commando" 2) reassign "commando" role to another soldier 3) apply default loadout to the new "commando" 4) ctd
Khall
This seems to be fixed in V17.
kuroi_neko
Not for me: - create a new game (with v17.51) - build 1st base - go to soldiers screen - create a new class - enter its name ctd after you click OK. The other related bug (applying default loadout to a soldier) is also present in v17.
Khall
It works for me, I'm using the patched Xenonauts.exe (v17.51) for the standalone
kuroi_neko
That's pretty bad news for the deployment team, then. The launch screen says "preorder alpha build v17.51 - 4 january 2013" and the bugs are still there. Desura repeatedly failed to update to v17.5 so I had to remove all files and reinstall from scratch. The 17.5 -> 17.51 appeared to work so I spared myself another full install. Should I have deleted everything again?
Matthew
Thanks for the report. I don't get this all the time, it's more like a random issue, but it crashed...
