SoftwareSimian Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Level has a bunch of shipping containers. Where the containers are stacked, the ladder going from ground+1 to ground+2 levels is visible when looking at ground level, but the container it's climbing is not visible, so the ladder is free-standing in space until you view the ground+1 level then it appears correctly attached to the container. Thanks. Yeah, I've noticed this one myself but we've just not had time to look at why it's happening yet. Hopefully we'll find time in the next week or two. Quote

fisheye Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 In software engineering projects (which gamedev is a subset of) teams usually keep a list of all the bugs / improvements needed to implement. Sometimes some tasks are being pushed over to the bottom of this list over and over again, becase there are always things that are more critical (like other, more serious bugs or, in this case, adding new content, which probably takes up most of the development time). Time is unfortunately always limited in our world Quote

One of our junior coders investigated it a few weeks back and it's not a straightforward fix, so it'll require our tech director to sit down for at least a couple of hours and figure out what the issue is - and his time is usually spent on the highest priority issues we have on any given day. This bug is only classed as medium priority; how long ago you reported the bug doesn't really factor into that. It's likely to be addressed once all the game content is in place. 1 Quote
SoftwareSimian Posted April 8, 2024 Author Posted April 8, 2024 Yeah, no worries. I know full well how the "oh that looks simple to fix" issues can actually be very complex once you start digging. Quote

SoftwareSimian Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 This makes me sad. Bug reported 3 years ago, survived through Early Access and now still present in Release Version (7.18.3) auto_groundcombat_turn_2_start-351.json 1 Quote

So it might take awhile for us to get to fixing this one. Quote
