Pantheon Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 From a game developer to another: It seems a lot of people are having problems with files missing, game crashing or simply not showing units. The workaround thread is full of it. I suggest implementing a simple log system that logs to a text tile, and if the game cannot find an asset file, simply log the file missing to it so that we can stop shooting in the dark, randomly copy pasting files in different folders and hoping that crashing stops. Gauddlike Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 The majority of those errors are probably caused by Chris (or whoever is in charge of that now) sanitising the builds to remove the unreleased or incomplete things before releasing them for testing. Hopefully once we start getting closer to the feature complete builds they will all go away. And if not we can all throw things at Chris until he stops breaking things...
