Giovanni Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 For those who already own v15 and don't want to re-download the whole standalone just to have the chinook troops deploy bug fixed, or for those who (by desura's fault or anything else) don't have access to v15.1. Here are the instructions to download the corrected files to fix the bug. 1) Download this file 2) Extract the archive somewhere 3) Copy the extracted folders (industrial and farm) to [xeno install dir]/assets/maps 4) You'll be asked if you wish to merge folders. Click yes. 5) You'll be asked if you want to replace existing files with the ones you're pasting. Click yes. 6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all the files are in place 7) Done! Since those are the only files that have been modified from v15 to v15.1, by doing this it's like you did the full upgrade to v15.1 Last thing, I'd recommend you to apply even this other hotfix, which will solve the crash on farm missions loading. Any question, ask me.
Buzzles Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Giovanni, has anyone recently told you that you're lovely? (PS, you really need a funky red coloured forum title to show you're Goldhawk staff and so you can lord it over everyone).
gnarly Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Giovanni, has anyone recently told you that you're lovely? (PS, you really need a funky red coloured forum title to show you're Goldhawk staff and so you can lord it over everyone). I second that, a clear identifier of 'staff' somehow would be valuable.
Gauddlike Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 you really need a funky red coloured forum title to show you're Goldhawk staff and so you can lord it over everyone Can't you tell by the avatar? That lordly haircut, strong jawline, slightly pained expression?
Giovanni Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 It will become obsolete in a week or two, when v16 will come out.
SmeggyGit Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 It will become obsolete in a week or two, when v16 will come out. A patch list will still be useful, even when 16 comes out - unless you think that it won't require any? Why not just make a thread, get a mod to sticky it, and edit the original post to keep it current for version releases?
SmeggyGit Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Can't you tell by the avatar? That lordly haircut, strong jawline, slightly pained expression? Yes, pained. That's what I was thinking. Pained.
Max_Caine Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 There is one mod, who was made a mod to deal with spam while Chris is away on holiday. The last mod Chris made before that went away and hasn't come back. All changelogs, patches, etc. are announced on the Announcement & Progress board (so this fix will go up on there), while gnarly maintains a complete compliation of all changelogs here on the Community Involvement board.
