V25.4b Experimental Released (Closed Beta)

This is a small hotfix for V25.4 that does not break save games. It fixes something I accidentally left enabled that somewhat breaks the balance on the Geoscape, and I've also included a couple of other small fixes that came in today too.

Changelog:

• Removed a debug event that added 20 Panic to the Geoscape after 1 day had elapsed (and possibly adds 20 extra Panic each month). You will need to restart your campaign playthough for this fix to take effect, unfortunately.
• The shooting Accuracy of aliens now changes based on the game's difficulty settings, as follows:
  • Recruit: 85% of normal Accuracy
  • Soldier: 100% of normal Accuracy
  • Veteran: 110% of normal Accuracy
  • Commander: 120% of normal Accuracy
• Fixed the Actuator Module (the +Strength one) not properly increasing carrying capacity.
• Fixed an additional crash in the level hide system which could occur when you changed level after an explosion.
• Added a simple system to check for common examples of the missing component bug, and force the game to crash immediately if it detects it. Hopefully that will allow us to find the exact point where the corruption is occurring.
• Reduced the number of retained saves per campaign back down to 10 strategy and 10 tactical combat.

This refers to the number of autosaves right? Does that mean that the elusive corruption bug was found and potentially fixed?

Yeah, it does. We might have figured out what's causing it, as we found an issue in the saving process that might explain it, but we're not sure.

Either way we've gathered enough info now to be reasonably sure that we're not going to be able to track down the crash via having loads of save games, so we're reverting to the previous setup.
