Xenonauts-2 Closed Beta Build V18.1 Hotfix Released! (Experimental Branch)

This hotfix addreses various issues in Beta Build V18, most notably a series of crashes in the ground combat and a problem where extra dropship slots could appear after a combat mission. You'll need to be on the Experimental Branch to access the build.

    Fixes & Gameplay Updates:

    • General - Added the remaining vehicle weapon art to the game (the advanced vehicle SMGs).
    • Tactical Combat - Fixed a variety of GC crashes tied to reaction fire.
    • Tactical Combat - Fixed a crash tied to use of Flares on night missions (with the flares sometimes ending up off the map or below it).
    • Tactical Combat - Fixed a bug where weapons that were equipped from a soldier's backpack mid-battle would not generate a fire crosshair cursor when hovering over an alien.
    • Tactical Combat - Fixed an issue where the fire cursor wouldn't always appear after you had been hovering over a door.
    • Strategy - fixed an issue where extra dropship slots would appear after battle if you'd moved your soldiers around in the dropship.
    • Strategy - Training Center now correctly disables if you right-click on it.
    • Strategy - Platesuit now correctly boosts soldier Armour when equipped.
    • Strategy - fixed up the undersuit tooltips.
    • Ground Combat - jetpacks now play a movement sound, and human jetpack movement is faster.
    • Ground Combat - jetpack movement can no longer end mid-movement by pressing space or running out of TU.
    • Ground Combat - there's now a little popup explaining why a soldier has been selected if the game thinks they are "forgotten" when you press End Turn.
    • Ground Combat - you can now use the \ key to mark a soldier as done and select the next one.
    • Air Combat - units now display their HP and Armour when you zoom the camera in on them.
    • Air Combat - combatant HP labels now correctly re-appear after you scroll the camera in and then out and then in again.
    • Air Combat - the aircraft Accelerated Cannon now does 4 damage against Armour instead of 3.
