MrAlex
Respers hatch even if I destroy the cocoons! I can't imagine how many rounds it will take to clear the base in such conditions. If it is real at all. Reapers.avi
MrAlex
Just lol. With each turn, even more rippers arrive than before. Reavers_2.avi
MrAlex
It took me more than 5 hours, but I still managed to kill this army. Although the problem clearly needs to be solved. I don't think anyone else wants to play with such hardcore.
odizzido
There were only 55 reapers there. That's not that many is it? (this is sarcasm)

With each round, starting from the 5th, in both rooms with cocoons began spawning rippers. With each round they spawned plus one from the previous round starting with 2x. In the 5th round there were 4 spawning (2 + 2), in the 6th round 6 (3 + 3). In the 9th round, 6 rippers spawned in each of the rooms. By the end of the 9th round, I ran out of ammunition. If I hadn't finished the last ripper, I would have spawned another 14 in the next round. Real hardcore.
Alienkiller
Hope that´s fixed in V.16.2. Because if you destroy the Cocon (like in XCOM 2 / XCOM 2 WotC) the Reapers in there will die. That was mentioned from the Devs here too if I have that correctly in Mind.
Chris
Haha, well that's clearly not working like it's meant to - one cocoon is meant to hatch a Reaper per turn unless the cocoon destroyed. I'll have a chat to the coders and see if we can get this fixed.
MrAlex
I have this mission at the moment at 16.2B. Is it worth preparing for hardcore?

The next patch will most likely be happening tomorrow, so I wouldn't bother. There'll be a lot of fixes happening in that patch!

I killed 95 then quit assuming it was a base for dev-testing with infinite reapers. Don't know if it's the case though. Kudos to the guy who cleared that infernal place.
