Game crashes at launch

I've had the same issue for over half a year now that when I try to launch the game it will get to around 60% of loading and then the game will simply crash. I've tried validating the game files on steam as well as uninstalling and re-installing the game, both to no avail.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a fix?

Hi - sorry to hear this, and sorry for not replying earlier. Can you try going to the install directory and manually deleting the entire folder, then reinstalling? This issue is most commonly caused by there being some old files in the directory that Steam doesn't properly remove when you uninstall the game.
