Thanks. That's very strange - usually that happens because the dropship doesn't have anyone in, but your dropship does have people in it so I'm not sure what's happening. I'll ask the coders to take a look.

So this is a very strange one. The problem is that the game is looking for a specific research project (laser weapons) which it needs for the local forces soldiers and it can't find it. But that project is set up correctly in the game and we have no idea how your campaign could be missing it. Have you done anything weird with the research or with loading or saving this campaign?

Alternatively, it might just be that that specific file is out of date in your install. Did you have an older version installed before? It might be worth manually deleting the install directory and reinstalling the game. It won't rescue your current campaign because the research projects are all saved into the campaign at the start of the game, but it would stop it happening again if that's what the problem is.

EDIT: actually, it'd be really helpful if you could do a quick search on your install directory for us and post up "weapon_lasers.json" if it exists in your files. Might help us figure out what could have gone wrong!

Thanks. The name of the project in the file is correct so it's not an asset issue, something's gone wrong in the code somehow - but there's no real indication of how that could happen.

We'll save this report and look into it in more detail if other users report the same issue. Perhaps we can spot a pattern if multiple people suffer the same problem.
