Xenonauts-2 Closed Beta Build V15.1 Hotfix Released! (Experimental Branch)

This is a quick hotfix for Beta Build V15 that we released earlier this week, fixing a few of the most obvious bugs. You'll need to be on the Experimental Branch to access the build.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a crash on the strategy layer linked to soldier HP regeneration when you had a second base on the Geoscape.
  • Fixed the AI refusing to move in tactical combat.
  • Fixed a hang that could occur during the AI turn.
  • Fixed newly constructed interceptors being unable to form a squadron with existing interceptors.
  • Fixed a large number of the pink error textures that would appear on objects (usually damaged ones) in the tactical combat. Please screenshot any more pink textures you see in the missions and report them as bugs!
  • Wounded soldiers now display their Health statbar and their current HP bar correctly.

Other Updates:

  • Personnel / Soldier screen now has a navigation bar that allows you to switch between the soldier management panel and the soldier recruitment panel, and will soon also include the casualty list panel.
    • Soldier management screen now allows selection of multiple soldiers and has buttons for mass firing, and soon will allow the mass transfer of soldiers to other bases.
    • Living Capacity and Training Capacity bars are now present on both the soldier management and soldier recruitment panel.
    • Sorting by Role and Status column headers now works correctly.
    • By default troops are now sorted by Status on this screen, with the soldiers assigned to dropships sorted to the top.
  • Added a warning pop-up when the player tries to launch a dropship that has empty soldier slots.
  • Stores screen "size" value now displays the collective size value for that entire stack of objects, not just the size of a single object of that type.
  • New research art for the Accelerated Ballistics research project.
  • Added new research text for Alien Invasion, Alien Alloys and the UFO Design Analysis projects.
  • The Research screen has slightly updated background art.
  • A little more ambient audio has been added to the strategy layer.
  • Blood should no longer be white in some instances.
  • All aliens now have purple blood again.

Please let us know if you encounter any further issues with V15 as we will continue to release additional patches as required.

Cool thanks :) I was thinking I would have to wait a while for a patch for the AI to be out but that was super quick. Going to check out the game some more tonight now.

Hafter i Build 3 new Living Quarters, i want remove 1 old one. If i do this, i hear the Sound of demolishion but the Game stucks in the screen i atached. I can move the Window but i cant klick anywhere or get out. I attached a savegame with this problem, please try to delete the marked quarters.

Yep, the same Issiue I have too. Forgotten to Mention in the Bug-Report-Part. Make a Post in the Bug Reports for that, not in the Release Announcements.

Thanks. In future you should post bug reports to the Bug Report forums, but I've tested the save game you provided and I can reproduce that problem too. We'll get it fixed on Monday.

There will probably be one more hotfix for V15 early next week so we'll include it in that.

Now that the aliens are running around and feel like more of a threat tactical feels good. I like it.

 

As to the armour thing in the equip screen I see how I can see the stats now. I think for me the thing was I was getting the info I wanted from tool tips for everything, but one didn't pop up for the armour and my brain was stuck on getting the info from popups. I imagine that's how I missed it on the actual stat sheet.

Yep tactical is now as it should again. Aliens are Searching for Targets, Patrouling, Reacting etc. On the Geoscape now Bombers with Fighter Escorts show up (Beginning March) etc.

The only thing I wounder is where is the Alien-Base-Mission? Why the upgraded Warden-Vest isn´t useable anymore? Where are some Research Projects gone, which were in Beta 14 and not showing up in Beta 15 anymore? Why the Aliens show up with Plasma-Rifles in Beta 15 while they were equiped with the Gauss Weapons in Beta 14 until you get the Ballance with your first Laser-Weapons?

And some Questions more, which are to much for here. Are Goldhawk testing something older again in Beta 15 or is Beta 15 a Step Back with this to early effects which we had in the older Betas before Beta 12 to 14?!
