stewpidbear
Hiya Chris was just wondering if this was going to be implemented in the next big update. Haven’t been able to play recently due to health and have decided to leave playing until (hopefully) this is done. Thank you.
Chris
We're still looking into it and experimenting with how quickly it can be implemented. Problem with allowing floors / roofs to be destroyed is that units and items that are on a roof or floor need to drop down to the level below if the floor is destroyed, and any props need to be completely removed (i.e. not leave floating debris behind) if the ground they are on is destroyed. So it's not quite as simple as we initially thought! Hope you get better soon!
domein
I loved to destroy foundations of buildings with explosives in x-com apocalypse, then watching whole 5 stories building collapse, crushing 10-15 aliens inside. That was epic, i was packing two team members full of explosives for that purpose.
stewpidbear
Many thanks mate for the reply. One thing to remember chaps.......never throw a grenade into a room that may have bigger explosive things in it .......smouldering crater time! Coffee Potato
I always appreciated it in Silent Storm. Hear s guy walking around near a hole, roll a grenade in there .. had like 6 barrels, plus the guy panic fires a rocket launcher, sends the original unit flying through the floor above him, wipes out half the building. Man that game was insane.
